Texas InstrumentsTI-15 Explorer Elementary Calculator

My daughter has always struggled with elementary math, and this calculator (recommended by her teacher) has been a big help. The main advantage in our case is that it displays each math problem as she types it in, so she can look back and see what she typed, and use the simple arrow buttons to go back and correct her entry if she made a mistake. "Regular" calculators, where the operand disappears from the display as soon as the next operation button is pressed, were much more difficult for her to use.This calculator does fractions, remainders, converts between fractions and decimals, and does pretty much anything else that is taught in elementary school math classes, but it does not have so many buttons that it seems confusing or intimidating.This calculator is also durable, so it can survive drops, and relatively inexpensive to replace when it (inevitably) gets misplaced somewhere between home and school! (We have purchased at least three of them over the past three years.)

Works as advertised.

This calculator is perfect for any student around the 5th and 6th grade level. When I purchased this calculator from the store 8 years ago it was $50. I have not seen this calculator in any of the local stores in a very long time. The calculator lasted for more than 8 years then the "+" sign stopped working. This calculator is not hard to use and is great for fractions and decimals. It is the perfect calculator for students in the 5th-6th grade.

This was recommended as the standard calculator for our 5th grader to purchase for math class. Very impressed with the ability to work with and show fractions (seemingly a bit part of this year's curriculum). Also, exponents are done, but there are some limitations. I only took off a star because the instructional manual that came with it was, understandably, a little too large and hard to follow. But the product does a lot. Way more than I ever needed at his age.

This is the greatest calculator for kids learning the fundamentals of mathematics. My grandson is in 5th grade and has been asking for this calculator for a year and when I found it on Amazon, I put in my cart and forgot about it until Amazon reminded me of it a month ago. I finally purchased it along with the other items in the cart and it has been a joy to see how my grandson's face lights up when he uses it to do his fractions. Wonderful!!

I purchased this for my son as he needed one for school. Normally he would get this calculator from his teacher but since he's virtual he needed to have one.My son uses this daily for both math and science. The ease of use as well as the durability is absolutely amazing. Would definitely purchase again.
