Due to the changes in camera technology I needed to know quite quickly what the camera resolution is for my job. My old monitor couldn't see digital signals only analogue,which when upgrading old to new everything is digital.As soon as you plug it in it tells you the resolution and the digital protocol. Light weight easy to use. Perfect to get you out of trouble.

What a brilliant bit kit. Saves you a lot of time as it can check at the camera and determine if the cable is damaged.?

I used this cctv tester for setting up the position of cameras and checking cables which is just what I wanted, the 12 volt feed from the tester to the cameras is handy if the camera hasn't been connected to it's permanent power source. It's quality and reliability will need to be tested with time.

Cheap and cheerful,does the job well for the price, suits me as only required for camera alignment and didn't want anything expensive as not needed. My only complaint is you DONT have to hold the power button for 3 seconds to power on, turns on at the slightest touch which is going to cause me a problem one day as I know the battery will be flat when I need it the most, a slide switch would be better.

I unpacked the unit the box was rattling in the amazon packing. I removed the 2 plastic batter y inserts and started charging the unit.I then powered up the unit with a cctv camera plugged in there was horizontal flashing on the blue screen I went through the menu functions and then nothing batteries charged blue power indicator on nothing else. The unit does not feel very robust the cabinet is plastic and looks like it will last very long it will be interesting to see what the long term reliability will be

This CCTV tester is practically useless. I suppose it’s OK if you just want to verify a camera works, but that’s all you can do. There’s a slightly more expensive one that has the features you expect this to have, because it looks identical (except not orange). Avoid
