If you buy one, buy a new, not a used device.
I bought this item because I wanted to listen to books on CDs when I couldn't sleep without keeping my husband awake. Alas, less than a month after I got this device, the CD part of it didn't work properly any more. A CD would start out fine, but then abruptly just stop after about 5 minutes. If I tried to restart the device, the same thing would happen...and this was the case for 6 completely different CDs I tried to play. However, I can still listen to NPR at night, and that's pretty good, and the sound is good. I particularly like that the way the device is laid out, I can turn it on and adjust the sound and the station by feel, in the dark, quietly.Maybe the problem is, this wasn't a brand new RCA disc player.

Decent Deal
Bought this as a replacement for my ancient CD player that finally died on me and I miss my old one. I don't have the skipping issue I see a lot of other people mentioning and all in all I would say this is a decent player for the price... but there is a constant fuzz when a CD is playing (I know it's not the earbuds; I used them with the old player and never had that issue). It's only a minor annoyance; the fuzzy noise is only about 1/5 the volume of the music. The only other complaint I have is that the open button can be a bit finicky.

Music, music, music!
Though the late purchase did arrive in time for Christmas, packaged well for shipping, the Naxa NX319 Slim Personal Compact Disc Player (Silver) did not come with the headphones as pictured. Initially a disappointment. Earbuds are included but my granddaughter doesn't like using those. Sent a complaint email to the rep about the miscommunication. He got back to me promptly with an explanation as to how photos to be used are selected by Amazon. He also refunded a portion of my payment. In the end, I was satisfied with this vendor's honesty and would definitely buy from him again. One note about the player itself: my granddaughter says the batteries run out really fast. Other than that, she loves the sound quality and ease of use.

Good starter player for younger kids
Quick delivery. Nice size I have 2 Grandsons...3 & 6yrs. Great for them to put on earphones / have 2-3CD's each and they play it in car on road trips. Also good when kids too wound up ....enjoy quiet time listening to music. Easy for them to use.

For the price, it's fine.
It gets the job done, but it's not great quality. The little plastic window popped out after about a week of use, and I had to tape it back in place. If you bump or jostle the player at all, it skips around. But I paid $15 so I'm fine with that.

Not Quite Up to Expectations
Ordered this as a temp replacement to be used at work. The buttons are extremely small with lettering even smaller. In order to use the manual - had to 'enlarge' the description page to again figure out which button did what. Nuisance. Used colored nail polish to identify the buttons (no they aren't in order) and gave it to my 8 year old grand daughter.

As a player it works fine.
Agree with the rest of the reviewers. No anti-skip with this player, so if you are a jogger, this is not for you. Also, the controls needs to have a contrasting color so you can see what the controls are. As a player it works fine.

It's ok, but not great.
This was almost an exact version of the one I had by another company. Very cheap made, hope its durability is better. It very flimsy to hold. Disappointed in it, I usually listen to music laying down or sitting so hopefully I won't end up dropping or gets bumped. It skips more than what the description of the product says but the sound quality is great. I noticed there a slight squalling noise while the music play. It ok but I think in future for me I would spend the $20-30 more and buy a model that is more durable and does not skip easily.

Not impressed
You get what you pay. I have gone thru many personal cd players because I like to listen to Books on Tape to put me to sleep. This is the first Naxa and I would not recommend. The sound needs readjusting EVERY time the tape stops. The buttons are very small and stiff. The player I received skipped often.

Really Needs a Power Adapter
The batteries don't last very long no matter what I try. Does not come with a power adapter and you really need one if you are going to run it for any length of time. The writing on the case is far too small to see what size of power adapter I need for this. The Amazon write up says that the adapter is not included. Anyone know what adapter would fit? (I have a couple here at home but none fit.) Would be helpful if the write-up indicated the adapter needed. This is frustrating.

Has stability problems
I put the CDs, and if there’s any movement to it interrupts the sound coming through, I changed the Ear phones up trying to get a better connection through, but it was still the same, have to keep it flat and still, and that way you won’t have any problem
