Review: Suficiente para principiantes - Excelente producto
Review: Great Portable Telescope. Perfect for trips or gift to someone whose interested in astronomy - TL;DR Review: Great portable scope. Get a separate tripod - tripod wobbles. Definitely recommended for anyone who would like to take a scope with them on a trip, for someone who doesn't have the space for a permanently mounted scope, for a student whose interested in astronomy, or as a fun add-on to keep in the trunk on trips to anywhere. It’s small, lightweight, and priced right. It’s light enough that a five-year old could carry it for an entire trip without effort, giving them direct participation in the setup process. This is an amazing little telescope which you can easily take anywhere you're going. Looking at the moon, you'll be able to see the moon in fantastic detail, clearly seeing the ridges of the craters peaking above the moon's northern pole. Aimed at any patch of the sky, stars will become visible when before you saw nothing but darkness. As with all telescopes with this magnification, you will not see the individual rings of Saturn, but you will be able to make out the halo of the rings. Jupiter's moons, though, will be easy to spot, but speaking of spots, you won't see Jupiter's red-spot. Mars and Venus are indistinctive. As for galaxies, if you know where to look, Andromeda can be seen. As for using this scope for daytime viewing of birds and bees, it's perfect. My recommendation is to pair this scope with a Gosky Cell Phone Adapter Mount (you can order one here on desertcart - see my review for photos and videos take with it) and use your phone's camera to capture some amazing shots. Note positioning the Gosky is tricky, so prepared to be frustrated as you try to get the phone's camera and the telescope aligned. It’s not a defect and it's not something you're doing wrong - it's just worth it, but difficult. And if you want to get photos of objects you can't even see through the telescope with your phone, Google "android [or iphone] astronomy photo stacking", "NightCap Pro," or "iastrophotography". What makes this scope a winner it how easy it is to carry around. The included backpack has enough extra space that you can easily toss a laptop or Chromebook in it - I have. It also comes with two high-quality eyepieces (20mm and 10mm) which allow you toquickly switch them up as needed. Each lens also comes with a cap (a needed feature), though I wouldn't fret too much if I lost one. The side finderscope is well aligned and will make targeting much simpler. But the tripod! The tripod! It's OK, but because it's tiny and lightweight, it's not stiff and suffers from touch-wobble. You'll repeatedly find yourself aiming for an object and then when you let go of the telescope or tripod, sometimes it will move out of alignment. You just need to be cognizant of this and use a light touch once you've locked it down to where you want to aim. Since I’ve gotten it, my son and I have used it in City locations and in the country – obviously it works great in both locations. So if the tripod is poor - why did you give it 5 stars instead of 4? For the size, price, and weight of the tripod, it’s what you would expect. A sturdier tripod will weigh a whole lot more and will be bigger, killing the portability aspects of what without the tripod would automatically make this a 5-star telescope. So it’s neither the tripod’s fault nor the Celestron’s. A better-built tripod would weigh more and cost a lot more. As a person who doesn’t read manuals, do read the instruction manual. Some parts aren’t obvious. I managed to figure out how to put it together but would have had a much easier time if I had taken two minutes to flip through the instruction manual.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can i see with my left eye**
A: If you are left eye dominant you won’t be in a comfortable position to see using your left eye. The scope is too close to the main body of the telescope which prevents your left eye from getting a view straight down the spotter scope.
Those who are being sarcastic most likely are not left eye dominant.

**Q: I'm a real beginner/plan to purchase this for my son so we can both explore the night sky, etc. Is it really easy to setup?/How long will it take?**
A: The scope is really good for beginners and it is easy to set up. As others have said the the included tripod is small for portability and not very stable. If used fully "retracted" on the hood of a car for example, it's OK. I've used it with a Celestron 7.5MM eyepiece and a 2x barlow lens and it can still resolve the rings of Saturn on a clear night. It's not designed for that kind of magnification but for an inexpensive scope with simple lenses I was impressed. I wouldn't recommend trying that though until you have some practice on focus, finding objects in the sky, and purchasing a heavy duty camera tripod. You must remember even with the highest power eyepieces, which you only want to consider using for viewing planets, objects are really small which is due to it's 400mm focal length. Overall it's WAY better than spending 40-50 dollars on a cheap toy at the local discount store. Another good option comparable to this is the Orion 76mm Fun Scope. It's really only for table top use but it's easy to swivel up/down left/right. It is a reflector though and images don't appear as crisp in my opinion. You'll find out that half the quality of a telescope is how good the tripod or mounting set up is. For the price you can't go wrong with this scope. I own several telescopes from computer driven to large reflectors and still grab this for quick views of Orions belt, Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, and star clusters like the double cluster and the Pleiades. Just to add to an already long answer, I added an inexpensive laser object finder (similar to the Celestron Star Finder) instead of the mostly useless viewfinder. It makes it ten times easier to point the scope at objects you're trying to look at and it doesn't take much modifications to get it screwed to the scope tube or stuck on with foam tape. Your son will thank you!

**Q: can this scope be used as a spotting scope for bird watching**
A: Excellent for bird-watching. At 20x, it's fine. At 40x (long distance) you may want a strudier tripod, and because it's daylight, you can look through the smaller 42mm hole (take off the little cap) in the dust cap and that will improve the sharpness at high power. If you want a better spotting scope, simply buy a fancy wide-angle/high-performance 1.25 eyepiece (super-plossl, etc), around 15 mm focal length.

**Q: How well can you see the Moon?**
A: You can see the moon great, just get the scope in focus, its amazing!!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good starter to understand to have or not to have a telescope
*by D***N on April 28, 2026*

it is a good starter considering the price. With included 10mm and 20mm eyepieces you get decent magnification 40x and 20x to see Moon and tiny Jupiter with moons. If you want to have a closer look at the planets get ready to buy additional stuff: 1. 4mm eyepiece to get from 20x/40x magnification to 100x 2. 2x Barlow lens to get to maximum useful magnification for this telescope, which is 200x (4mm eyepiece + 2x Barlow) 3. Better finder scope like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R29JQD6 to be able to find you targets at higher magnification. 4. Better tripod, included one is very shaky and very hard to fix to point at your target it is Ok for 20/40x magnification, very hard for 100x and basically impossible for 200x.
