Was skeptically initially when I was told about it. But having sharpened about all my knives ( including my pocket knives), I have to say I am impressed! Even my old dull butcher knife that I have had for over 20 years is so sharp that it can slice paper. I understand (from friends), that I am to sharpen my knives after each use, will do that to keep them sharp. Will recommend the product to others who are in the market for an easy to use, no hassle and with little to no damage to the knives (unlike electrical sharper) sharper.

It works very quickly and when that is needed it is awesome.

I've been looking for a great sharpener for a long time. I saw that the Slap Yo Daddy BBQ guy uses this one on his sushi knives. It is really good. It super sharpens my Wusthof knives in about 3 strokes. It's so much better than their sharpener. It's easy to use and to store. I didn't use the mounting plate or suction cups.

Really great sharpener that has brought our kitchen knives back to life — but ugh, it's just a piece of molded plastic with some springs and two metal rods, so it feels like it's really, really overpriced.

This does exactly what it says on the tin. No special expertise needed. Just DOES the job!

Buy once, cry once. How much did you pay for that knife? Buy a quality sharpener for it! This is about as easy as it gets to keep a good edge. If you knock the edge off or chip it, you'll need more horsepower that this item. However, for day-to-day maintenance of cared for knives, this is a great product.

Feels like it was made for folks like us who cook big family meals every night—highly recommend grabbing one!

This is the first knife sharpener that we have owned so we cannot compare this item against any other product on the market but we must say that this is a fine product and does what it is designed to do quickly and effortlessly. As we have never had a sharpener prior to this purchase we had quite a few rather blunt knives within our kitchen but this unit brought them back to razor sharp within minutes, with just 10 to 20 passes through the sharpener. To be honest the unit is so easy to use you don't think it is doing anything, that is until you try the blade then you realise what a tremendous job that this unit does. We must point out that this unit is huge and comes across to us as more at home in an commercial environment than in an household one but that really doesn't bother us but it might be off putting for some. The only downside that we can see within this item is the price, we picked it up in the Amazon Warehouse for £18 which we feel was exceptional value for money but would we pay the current asking price of £75??? Well no we would not and cannot understand how this price could be justified as it just far to high. All in all this is a fantastic item that does a fantastic job, if you can get it at the right price that is! We would not have any hesitation in recommending this item based upon it's ease of use and the excellent results it gives.
