Nice Unit
Firstly, I noticed a lot of reviews that say this thing leaks. To those folks, I say poppycock! I've noticed that often negative reviews on Amazon come from people who have no concept of how to install what they bought! A few other reviews say they can't get water pressure. This would be due to one of two reasons, which I will get to shortly. It's surprising because something like this is so simple to set up. Opening the box, I noted that one of the thicker washers was missing, but it didn't matter to me because I wasn't going to use the water restricter. Instructions were good and I soon had the unit set up. This is where I ran into Problem One -- leaking. When I turned the water on the unit leaked at the point where it was connected to the home outlet. Plus there was virtually no water coming out of the shower head! Oh no! Were the reviews right? NO! I simply tightened the unit with a wrench and the leak stopped. I suspect that people who say this thing leaks are just tightened with their hand and that's not going to be enough! But the water still only came out in a trickle! I knew it was the water restricter because I had taken it out so I thought that maybe something was wrong with the hose. I took the entire thing off and checked the hose. No issues. No issues with the head either. I was about to return this item, when i noticed something on the box that was not in the instructions -- the shower head has an on / off lever! You'd never know it unless you read it because it is simply a chrome slider not an actual lever that you can easily see. Once I move the slider, the water came out full force and all three shower head positions work perfectly. So as a recap, here are the Pros and Cons Pros - Really nice attractive design. - Works well. - Hose is metal not plastic. - Hose is extra long! The unit I replaced was shorter and couldn't easily reach to the bottom of the shower to wash my dogs! - Easy set up - Comes with thread tape (a nice, unadvertised bonus) - water restricer is self-installed. In other words YOU decide if you want it or not and you don't have to figure out out to remove it if you don't want it.. Why you'd want it, I don't know. You'll use more water because the pressure will be so low you won't be able to get the soap off. And forget about rinsing your hair! Cons - Instructions could be a bit better - should recommend using a wrench to attach unit to avoid leakage complaints - should note the on off switch in instructions not just on the box!

works great
I've got to be honest. The only reason I purchased the AquaSense 3 shower spray with ultra long stainless steel hose is because of the less than $20, price and I only wanted so I could bathe the dogs. But I actually like it. The longer hose makes rinsing my hair so much easier than our current rain shower- shower head. The 'longer hose on this makes it from my shower pipe in the wall to the end of the bathtub with about a foot left over without stretching so it worked out well when I bathed the dog and he ran to the end of the tub. The shower head is lightweight which is a plus for me. There's only 3 settings on this. The first one just uses the center holes so the spray is forceful and concentrated. . I use it for rinsing out the bathtub. The other setting uses the center holes and the outer holes so the spray in the center is more forceful than the outer spray. My husband prefers that setting, and the last setting uses all the holes equally so it's just a normal spray great for showering. Installation is a piece of cake. The give you the plumbers tape to wrap around the pipe so it fits snugly and doesn't leak.. I didn't recognize it as plumbers tape at first, because it's packaged to look like a small spool of thread ) There are large pictures on the directions showing how to put the shower together, but you can easily figure it out just by looking at the unconnected parts. There is a water saver piece. It's red and it's got tiny holes in it so it's easy to identify. I just left it off so I'm not sure how much it would interfere in the water flow from the sprayer. Without it, the spray is normal shower head spray. If you turn your faucet up high, the water pressure in the shower head is more forceful. If you prefer less forceful water, turn your faucet down. You get the picture. There is a piece that you can attach that allows you to turn off the water at the sprayer. You don't need it if you don't want to screw it on. The shower works without it.. I put it on and when I turned the water off using that piece the water still came out of the shower head but not a lot. It didn't completely stop the water but it slowed it down a heck of a lot so it didn't spray all over. That feature came in handy when I had to stop spraying the dog and soap it up. Then when I was ready to rinse the dog, I just turned the little knob again. This product seems like it might last a long time. The shower head itself is lightweight, but it appears sturdy. The hose seems sturdy too and doesn't look like it's going to break any time soon. I think it's a great buy especially for the price.. I've only used it twice so far but if I have any problems or if it breaks, I'll update my review and let you know.

What to know before installing
This is a very lightweight, relatively inexpensive, and good product. It's easy to install IF you do the following: One. For most people I would say please DO NOT use any tools to tighten. This is plastic, and using a wrench will either squeeze the rubber washer into a not normal position, or destroy it, or if tightened too much the plastic I'm sure would break. I installed it, tightened it VERY hard. Got a leak. Took it out, saw the mangled washer, then redid it, this hand tightening with not a lot of effort. NO leak! The BOX says not to use tools (See number 6 on the box, the third picture). Two. The ON/OFF switch is shown in the first picture. I wouldn't know about it without reading other reviewers, so thanks to all of them. The instructions don't mention it. The BOX does! See number 5 on the third picture. Note in the first picture connection to handle (B). If this is too loose, twisting the ON/OFF switch will just disconnect the shower handle from the tubing. Three. Looking at the second picture, the red thing is the regulator. I left it off, along with ONE of the washers. Why? With them I was still getting a slight leak, and I figured that reducing the pressure by removing these would help, and it did. NOTE. The instructions say to use two washers and the red thing in between them. I still left ONE washer in. Finally. Do Not Read this! It's not important. But if you're still here, I would just like to say that back in my day instructions were all written out. Yes, you had to actually READ them and follow them, and yes, sometimes you messed up and went back to the instructions, but they included valuable information. Now, it's all pictures, which are often too vague, or leave things out. Or, as in this case, the manual is found partially in the installation instructions, but you need to read the BOX too. Whatever. EDIT: I went to buy another one of these for another shower less than a year after I bought this the first time. I did not buy it. Why? Because I purchased this in July of 2023 for $19.99, and now I see the price is on March 2024, $54! As good as this is, it is NOT worth that much! Five stars now is four.

Very easy to install, and water pressure is great!
I purchased this item almost 6 months ago, and it's still going strong. I was kind of hesitant because the head is plastic, but it hasn't disappointed me. VERY easy to install. This was my first home DIY ever, so if you've never done something as basic as this, it's a good first little project to tackle yourself. I left out the red flow restrictor since I already have less than stellar water pressure. I purchased this item not only for it's affordable price, but because of the reviews mentioning the improvement in water pressure. The pressure is MUCH improved, though the spray is a bit fine for my liking, it does the job very well and I'm very happy with it. It has 3 spray settings, but I just use the first one as it's the strongest and covers a wider area. I don't use the pulse setting at all, but it works. Installation was very easy. I just watched 2 videos and read the instructions and installed it myself. Just a hint for all you other first-timers... wrap the plumber's tape (thread tape) in a clockwise direction, as the head screws on in that direction. Wrapping it the other way will only cause it to rip and you won't get a nice tight seal. After installing, I turned the shower on, and it leaked a little bit, but I tightened it up a wee bit more, and that was all it needed. It's been working fine since! The hose is nice and long and makes cleaning my tub/shower combo so much easier. Also, if you have pets, it makes bathing them much easier, too. That's where the control knob comes in handy, as the water flow can be shut off while lathering up your pet, then turning it back on to rinse. I'll be getting a portable shower arm to set the head in when not in use during the bath.

Very Happy
The shower head was really easy to put together. I don't think the instructions helped though, it was a huge fold out paper with full color pictures and no text. It would have helped a little bit to label the purpose for the tiny red washer. (from reading reviews on here I know it's some kind of water restrictor, and left it out) I like the wide shower head and the 3 modes seem to click back and forth very smoothly. I used the massage setting (slightly pulsing coarser water stream) on my head and face which was nice. My water pressure might be a little weak but I don't think it would really do much to massage the back. The knob between the shower head and hose works well to pause the water flow when you need to soap up. It was useful while shaving sitting on the tub floor. It works with other shower heads as well (I bought a silly LED one for fun) The hose itself is awesome! Not too heavy, very flexible, and very long! The metal ends are nice and sturdy too. The plastic holder seems solid, and has a black rubber pad to keep the hand held shower head in place turned whichever way you want. I was happy it also included a bobbin of plumber's tape but I didn't use it and it didn't leak. I plan to take this shower head with me when I move though, so I might use it in the future!

Great Showerhead with Easy Installation
This showerhead is easy to install -- as others have commented, it contains a separate flow restrictor (that's the red washer-like item). If you love the dictatorial nature of the EPA and want to have to take longer showers without getting all the shampoo out of your hair, you will want to install the flow restrictor. If, on the other hand, you can think for yourself, and you enjoy a nice forceful spray that allows you to expedite your shower and get rinse the shampoo out, don't install the flow restrictor. Either way, you will use about the same amount of water per shower. Be sure to wrap the plumber's tap snugly around the threads of the shower outlet tube. Also, take care when connecting the hose to the showerhead and the showerhead outlet -- it's easy to strip the threads on the plastic parts. If you want to see how it's done, open the instructions and then google "how to change a shower head." There are several good videos. The spray settings are easily adjusted by rotating the outside of the showerhead. I use all three settings for different purposes during my (expeditious) shower. The longer hose is nice, too, because our showerhead outlets are set higher than the standard 6'6". I have purchased and installed a variety of showerheads. This is the best hand-held shower by far.

Would not recommend
I needed to have surgery on my knee and have a standard shower so I bought this as well as a shower head splitter (I mistakenly believed this came with one which would allow me to be able to choose between this and the shower head on a daily basis, it did not, so I bought an extra piece for that), and a shower chair. This is easy to screw into place, does not leak from the grommets and worked well for about a month. I then noticed that there was a teeny tiny little hole in the handle that would squirt out a little stream of water when on, no big deal. Since then, it seems like every use there is a new hole in the plastic handle to the point where the other day I was in the shower and was getting no water pressure so I had to stop my shower to get out, find duct tape, and tape all around the handle to prevent it from squirting out all over the place. Tried to go back to my shower, it was still leaking, so I had to get back out and put a substantial amount of duct tape around the thing. I could finish my shower, but I was pretty pissed considering that I have an unstable post surgery knee and had to walk around while wet trying to fix this piece of crap, then by the time it was fixed the hot water was gone :( It did the job while it lasted, which wasnt long, and now it looks horrible, and I hate it.
