Seiko Baron Mantel Chime Clock,Brown

First of all, the measurements on Amazon are incorrect. The clock is 9.5" wide and 12" tall. It is a super fantastic mantle clock. Seiko has mastered battery operated clock beauty!! It sounds as beautiful as my other two Seiko clocks. So far it is keeping perfect time, and I expect it to continously keep perfect time. It is another absolutely beautiful clock and it sounds very similar to a massive grandfather clock. I really did not have anywhere to place this clock, so I replaced a Howard Miller winding gear driven mantle clock that I bought when I was a young man recently released from the navy in 1989. I honorably served six years in the nuclear navy. People around the world........ if you are thinking about a mantle clock, this one by Seiko is an excellent choice!! 10 February 2026

Clock arrived in timely manner, well packaged. It is absolutely lovely and elegant. So far it keeps accurate time; and has the perfect chime settings and sound quality. I feel it's a good value for the money. Highly recommended.

When I found out it chimed ever quarter hour, I thought it would be a problem, but it was not. I love the chimes. I find the musical chimes comforting and relaxing. The notes carry which makes it NOT sound cheap or mechanical. It keeps accurate time and I never lose track of time now, either. It is beautiful and I feel it is worth every penny. If you enjoy the sound of well tuned windchimes, you will love this, too.

The clock is beautiful on a mantle and has two chime selections; both are lovely. It chimes every 15 minutes. The controls to adjust the time, the volume of the chime and the selection of which chime you want, they are tiny dials; as I am an older person with arthritic fingers, it was almost impossible for me to adjust the clock; I had a younger friend set it for me. Putting the battery in, however, was easy.

I wanted to replace my chime clock that I got from my mother's estate and have searched and searched and found this clock I was concerned that the volume would not be sufficient but it is really more than sufficient I think I'm going to turn it down. I also wanted a clock that chimed on the quarter hour I'm not sure if this one can be set to only chime on the hour but the chimes are awesome and it keeps perfect time I've only had it a day and this could change but so far it was a great investment.

I bought this chiming mantel clock to replace a SEIKO chime clock that I owned for 18 years which recently stopped chiming when I removed the battery. This is a wonderful chime clock. It is easy to set up, and I found that access to the controls was easy. Some of the controls are small - same as those on my old clock. It looks lovely in my home!! I love it!!

Gorgeous clock, but can't use it. Arrived perfectly packaged and doesn't appear to be a return, but the pendulum isn't there. Someone suggested it shifted during shipment and is inside the clock. BUT THE BACK PANEL WON'T SLIDE OPEN. The foam shipping protection slip is stuck and won't pull out from the back, so the back panel is stuck closed. Gorgeous but worthless clock as I can't put the battery in or set the adjustments. So, back it goes. Not sure I want to chance a replacement. I guess $270 just doesn't get you a reliable mantel chime clock these days??
