Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask, 0.3 Ounce

Been on the hunt for my perfect lip mask, since normal ChapSticks or chapstick derivatives kind of worked but only just. Nothing went further to really improve the lips. I had tried Laneige and a few of the "dupes" on the market that people swore by. But most seemed to be placebo effect as well - lips felt and looked good while the product was on, but once it wore off or was wiped off (assuming they even lasted through the night to have some product left), the lips went back to feeling dry and in need of help. Plus they were all so glossy. I don't need my lips to be glossy when I'm sleeping. I need them to be moisturizing and smoothing. And I don't need fake sweet flavoring that is all I can taste while it's one and causes a headache. Saw a number of people swearing by this so tried it. Note: the tub I received is the new formula so if you are attached to the old, I've heard the new is slightly different/not as great as the old. Honestly, I'm kind of glad I got the new version to start so I am not disappointed when I have to reorder. Because I will be reordering when I run out. If this formula is not as great as the old, I can't imagine how much better it was because the one I got is phenomenal. It's unflavored so no headaches. Not super glossy. The tub is plentiful - more than the others I've tried. It's thicker too than the others, in a good way. The mask actually stays on all night and when I wipe the excess off in the morning, my lips still feel hydrated and soft. No lingering dryness. It has a waxy feel on my finger I used to apply it after putting on. I'm going to steal the applicator from my other lip masks to use but the waxy feeling tells me it's sealing in the moisture which is nice. Some folks have commented that it's sticky - I find it significantly less sticky than most other lip masks. Highly recommend.

I am quite impressed with this lip mask. I use it both in the morning and at night. I usually have super dry peeling lips during the cold upper midwest winter months. Most lip balms work for a little bit then my lips become dry and peel again. This lip mask has been the only treatment that doesn't leave my lips dry and peeling. I love that it still keeps my lips soft and smooth even after I eat or drink something. Most lip balms come off after eating or drinking and you have to reapply. If I put it on at night, I wake up after 7-8 hours and my lips are still soft and smooth. It doesn't last as long during the day because I eat and drink things but it still lasts longer than the typical lip balm. When you first put it on, it leaves a bit of a shine like lip gloss, although that glossy look doesn't stick after you've eaten or drunk something. That said, as mentioned, while the gloss is gone, it still keeps lips moisturized. I've had this for four months and use it every night and every morning. I've only gone through about a third of it so just one will probably last me a year. The cons would be that this is quite sticky. If you drink, it'll get on the cup and you will need to scrub a bit to get all of it off. It was a bit hard to get off my wine glass. Also, because of the stickiness, it is not the most pleasant feel if you kiss someone, both for you and the person you are kissing. These are not deal breakers for me though. I would still recommend it.

Well I've tried so many different brands and types of lip balms and soothing agents and many of them have been really nice and definitely keep lips moisturized but to me, THIS is the 'mother of 'em all'! It's thick, and a bit sticky, so if that concept really bothers you I'd go with something different. But.... this stuff is amazing and I use it every day and every night. I transferred some of it into a really small plastic travel container to keep in my purse to use whenever I want feel like I need it at work, or just whereever I am (because I've been addicted to chapstick-type products, etc., for soooo long....) This stuff is different, tho, in that it not only moisturizes, it provides a terrific barrier for your lips. And yes, it's thick and gooey, but once it's settled into your lips, it's WONDERFUL! And the soothing, moisturizing aspect absolutely lasts the LONGEST of any product I've used over the years. Highly, highly recommend. (And it has no scent and no flavor that I can detect - it's incredibly soothing and healing.)

I do like it a lot. DEFINITELY hydrates your lips. Only complaint is taking it off in the morning is not done by simply splashing your face with water. It is very thick and requires to be quite intensely rubbed off to fully remove it.

Bought this because I fell into an internet rabbit hole: a reviewer said she preferred this over the Laneige lip mask (which I love). It is unscented (I didn't detect any ginger, which I would have liked, but if you're scent-sensitive, this is good). It did leave my lips feeling moisturized, but was really sticky, and I do not like that feeling.
