Kuryakyn 8294 Motorcycle Engine Accessory: Inner Primary Cover for 1990-2006 Harley-Davidson Touring Motorcycles, Chrome , black

I have a 2016 Harley Road Glide CVO and installed this cover to add some additional chrome. I know that Kuryakyn products can be a bit pricey, but worth it. Not only was the installation a breeze, but it comes with instructions, all mounting hardware and it looks great! I have purchase other chrome pieces from China to see what the quality is like, and it is hit or miss. Sometimes its great but other times, the finish is not as good (you can see some machine marks where the metal was not perfectly smooth under the chrome). Sometimes, they dont come with all of the mounting hardware and almost all of the time, they dont come with instructions. So I pay the extra money for ensured quality, and knowing that I wont be banging my head against the wall trying to find hardware and guessing at installation instructions. Save your time and headache! Pay the extra $50! You wont be sorry!

Looks amazing and fit perfect although this is the most expensive peace I’ve bought out of my chrome parts and the packaging for this was horrible was in a box all ripped up and no padding or bubbles nothing at all covering and protecting the item it was loose slapping around in the box but I’m happy with the part

This is a very nice addition for anybody who wants to dress up there bike and not have to spend a boat load of money to do it. It is made really well ( all metal ) and has a heavy chrome on it , I put this on my 02 ultra and it was a snap all the hardware came with it , pretty easy to follow instructions but I would do a dry fit first there are some adjustments to be made, after I got it adjusted and bolted on it looks like its all part of the chrome outer primary cover. My riding buds liked it so much 2 have already ordered theirs.BIG HINT- when replacing the bolts get some blue loctite and put on the threads after you clean any oil from the bolts and holes they are thread-locked from the factory for a reason .

Yes, the cover is easy to install, and really adds to the bling factor. However, if your bike has mid-frame heat deflector shields installed, be prepared to remove the bottom attachment on that as well. This aspect was not comprehended in the installation instructions. I was anxious about removal until I realized that on my model the back nut was welded to the frame, so no big deal. I remember on a previous bike that it took almost an hour to manipulate the back nut to facilitate affixing the shield (very close workspace, tough to get a wrench into).

Easy Install.. Looks great... The only complant is the crome plating is soft. On occasion I use 4/0000 steel wool on my crome. After the very first time of using it on the new cover... I noticed scratches. All my other crome was fine.

Easy install, (as long as you don’t have the mid engine deflectors). I tried for about 5 minutes to twist and angle the piece but it would not drop into place until I removed the wind deflector. The instructions indicate the correct torque when tightening the included screws.

What can I say? Just see the video.... Its amazing... Total quality..

The metal is thick, excellent chrome finish and easy to install. I waited too long to order this because of the price but after getting it installed I wished I would have got it at the beginning of my build!

It was very easy to install and it looks fantastic. Highly recommend it.
