Very reliable set- gold color is tastefully applied with a uniform, matte texture. Despite daily use, I haven’t seen any visible signs of scratching or wear to the gold finish. Tools are solid, cleanly manufactured, and provide excellent fit and grip.

Use it every day. Won’t rust.

these are made exactly like all of the klien L wrench sets i have owned maybe even better, i have not used these yet, these allen keys have a serious fit and finish and the coating looks solid, its a shame to use them thats how nice they are, they look to me like they have a slightly green tint like you see on nickel, i bought these because everything u buy unassembled these days is metric and i end up using the keys provided that do more harm than good, scratching painted surfaces and sticking inside the of screws these wont do either

Second set I have bought. My other set has held up since I bought them over 5 years ago. I lost two out of the set so wanted to buy another one to replace them. Unfortunately they are not the same color gold as the picture anymore so that’s why it’s only a 4 star rating.

As a professional bicycle mechanic with 30 + years of experience under my belt I have put a substantial polish on many a black oxide set of "L" shaped ball end allen keys from Bondhus. Bondhus brand allen keys have never disappointed me. None broken, several bent (but unbroken) from misuse, just an exceptional value considering the low price for brand name VS generic. The gold finish feels special, like a reward, and has stayed unblemished through a lot of use.

Recently replaced my set just like this. They were 15+ yrs old. I only replaced them due to losing several pieces love these tools.

High quality, sturdy metal; resistant to wear and tear. I can see these lasting me a lifetime if I'm gentle with the smaller pieces. A tradesman I hired was impressed by them, but was left scratching his head as to why they were gold plated. I don't know the answer to that, or rather I do. It's because these were cheaper than the rainbow coloured ones! However, I'm guessing it's because they can be -- kind of like gold bicycle chains or the ones you wear. It's all about that bling...

Excellent hex wrench set. By far the best value for the $...I ordered a few other, more expensive sets, but found the Bondus’ to be superior. Excellent, tight fit with very little play, long enough to apply adequate torque, and well made. I use these mainly for bike maintenance...would 100% recommend for anyone in need of a high quality hex set.
