I thought this would be comparable to the leg stabilizers you recieve from the hospital. IT IS NOT!!! The entire piece is a piece of foam comparable with a foam egg crate mattress topper. The only mechanism to keep you leg from bending in the metal bar running down the backside of the item. The foam is not very durable either. I don't think it will last very long. I am very disappointed with my purchase as the seller wants me to pay $18 to return. I feel scammed. Buyer beware! I could have bought a better one for $6 more.
