Hatsune Miku was the first Vocaloid developed by Crypton Future Media after they handled the release of the Yamaha vocal Meiko and Kaito. The name of "Hatsune Miku" was conceived soon after the Vocaloid 2 announcements, when an English and Japanese vocal were developed for the character. The intended design was delayed and later used for Megurine Luka instead. Miku was intended to be the first of a series of Vocaloids called the "Character Vocal Series", which included Kagamine Rin/Len and Megurine Luka. Each had a particular concept and vocal direction. Review: cute sakura miku! - this figure is sooo cute, the quality is so high for its price. the pigtails were a bit difficult to put on but with some force they sit in nicely. the colors are nice and vibrant. she's nice and tall which is a decent size for a figure like her and she's so detailed. definitely worth her price. Review: thumbs up from me! - Writing this review on my computer. To say the least it came in great shape, and bigger than I expected! It's about half the size of my lava-lamp, and it's not flimsy. It gorgeous, matches my other decor and I love the detail on the pigtails. (Solid pink to transparent dark red) It was easy to assemble, the left pigtail gave me some trouble though. The fine bits are delicate on the face, so make sure to be patient with the pigtails lol

cute sakura miku!
this figure is sooo cute, the quality is so high for its price. the pigtails were a bit difficult to put on but with some force they sit in nicely. the colors are nice and vibrant. she's nice and tall which is a decent size for a figure like her and she's so detailed. definitely worth her price.

Writing this review on my computer. To say the least it came in great shape, and bigger than I expected! It's about half the size of my lava-lamp, and it's not flimsy. It gorgeous, matches my other decor and I love the detail on the pigtails. (Solid pink to transparent dark red) It was easy to assemble, the left pigtail gave me some trouble though. great miku figure
its pretty easy to put together and its very cute and high quality

Average Quality
This figure assembles much like the Banpresto Glitter and Glamours line, except Miku is a bit smaller. She is still a decent height, the facial painting is top notch, and I love the semi-transparent portions of her hair. I found several instances of paint defects (which I am O.C.D. about) but thankfully most of my Miku's flaws are isolated to the back side so they are less noticeable. Assembly requires a fair amount of force with this product. I cannot get one of her ponytails completely into her head no matter how hard I try. I was really afraid I was going to damage the figure with the amount of pressure required to attempt to pop her hair into place. Her legs didn't go in any easier. I was genuinely afraid I was going to crack the clear plastic stand at one point. Thankfully that didn't happen.

this figure is absolutely GORGEOUS i love her so much. the box DID come damaged, but the figure was perfectly intact. it was difficult to put the pigtails in, and one still isnt fully in but all together its worth the price :3
