WWT-100 30AWG Wire Wrap Tool

I looked at a lot of other wrapping tools at far higher prices and am very pleased with this one from Jameco. It's all metal and wraps 30 gauge wire perfectly. A wire stripper is included inside the handle (pull off the top). I'm a first time user so didn't even know how to use a wrapping tool. Found videos out on the internet and Jameco also has help on their website so you can't go wrong with this product. Two things though. It does not come with instructions and there is this tiny hole on one side which I can't seem to find any information on its use. I highly recommend this product and you can't beat the price for the quality received.

Works great for connecting 30 gauge wire to nichrome wire difficult to solder. I use this when making model rocket igniters with our rocket club. It is similar to the Radio Shack brand, but works great! I misplaced my old Radio Shacknwire wrap tool of 15 years, and this one replaced it. Very happy with this tool.

this is a Radio Shack tool. Yet, being advertised as Jameco? it does look exactly like the picture shows, and i would have bought the same thing from Radio shack, so whatever, i guess. but then the packaging was literally beat to hell. it looked like it had been put through a washing machine and dryer. i mean i really thought WTF DID THEY STICK AN OLD TOOL IN A BEAT UP PACKAGE AND GLUE IT SHUT? it looked ROUGH. Now, i guess it is a new tool, it's undamaged, never used ... and okay it's not like i wanted to save the package, so i shouldn't complain ... but it just was odd and kind of put me off. I guess the end story is the tool is as advertised, EXCEPT for the fact it is actually a Radio Shack product ... i would have given this 5 stars if had been advertised properly and maybe not looking like it came from a flea market... I guess i feel like the whole experience was a bit shady, and i don't really trust this Red River reseller, whoever they are. but hey, if you want a radio shack wire wrap tool that works well with 30 AWG wire, and don't care how they got it, go ahead and buy it. you'll get exaclty that.

This doesn't wrap the wire tightly. Most wraps just end up in a loose coil around the stud. Also doesn't pull the insulation around with it, you have to manually wrap it around the first wrap before setting the tool down.

The product description says "Jameco BenchPro", the delivered product says "Goldtool Precision Alignment tools"

Correct product and arrived as new, but is a Radio Shack product. Still excellent quality. No harm, no foul.

Metallic body makes handling easy and wrapping is comfortable, care needs to be taken to make sure terminal pin dimension matches tool pin hole dimension

this is what i have been looking for, its rather difficult to get it in Jakarta, Indonesia
