Works as good as Dayquill but cheaper! Only type of cold medicine that we use. Tastes like medicine but worth it. Makes you feel better. Helps with headache, congestion and thins the mucus.

I’ve used this cold and flu medicine for a few years now, and it’s the one I always keep on hand. During the last two weeks I had something pretty rough, and this helped control the cough, congestion, runny nose, aches, pains, and fever. For me it lasts right about four hours. The major symptoms get knocked down a level or two, and the minor ones disappear for a while, which makes it a lot easier to function. The taste is actually good to me. It has a minty cool freshness the moment you drink it, almost like a milder Halls lozenge. The smell reminds me of black licorice mixed with Halls, which I don’t mind at all. My kids think it’s gross, but I like it. The cooling effect also helps soothe your throat a bit. The strength is solid for daytime use, and it doesn’t make me drowsy or put me in that “medicine head” fog. That’s the biggest reason I stick with this instead of the name brand. For the price, it works great, tastes fine, and it’s definitely worth keeping around for sick season.

My wife had a cold and used this instead of the name-brand version. The active ingredients are identical, so we felt comfortable trying it as a substitute. Honestly, if you switched the labels, I don’t think most people could tell the difference. It did what it was supposed to do. Her symptoms were manageable while taking it, and we feel like it helped her get through the worst part faster. Her cold had been dragging on, then she started using this and felt noticeably better within 24 hours. It’s non-drowsy, although when she’s sick and irritable, you almost wish it wasn’t. She said the taste was fine. Not great, not terrible, just normal for cold medicine. Amazon having it available for same-day delivery was helpful too. When you’re sick, the last thing you want to do is drive to a store and pay more for the same thing. If you’re comparing labels and looking to save a few dollars over the brand name, this worked the same for us.

This has been as effective as Nyquil. I pleased.
