Works Awesomely-Configure EDID PRESETS on the BACK
This item works as expected, but its claims of getting/displaying 1920x1080, 60hz, is false. The main splitter and the mini splitters BOTH sends an active signal of 1280 x 720, 60hz. I took 3 pictures. WIth 2 different HDMI cables, one 3ft and the other cable was 6 ft. Its only when I used the cable from my laptop to my monitor, did it show 1920x1080, 60hz, which meant that the cords weren't the issue. Edit: That was my previous review, as I was upset with the claims that I thought was false. The truth of the matter is that its ALL ABOUT THE EDID PRESETS. I think so many customers get upset due to the fact that don't read the manual and take the time to go through the EDID presets to see exactly what monitor/tv is best suited for the device that's connected to it. I am one to say I was previously wrong in my judgement. If you want a CLEAR IMAGE along with making sure you dont get the HDMI SIGNAL LOST message, take the time to go through your EDID presets that's listed in the manual. THANK ME LATER

Easy setup and use
This has worked exactly as needed. I was able to set up a large conference room with 6 tv’s mounted on the walls and project the same picture to all of the tv’s. Easy setup and use.

Works very well.
This works great. I have five monitors running off of this unit. Two set of monitors are using a splitter. One splitter works fine as it isn't that far. The second splitter I had to tie in a boosting unit because of how far it was. It would run one at the length just not two. I was please to see that this has power over ethernet so there is only one power adapter. The previous setup had me struggling to place adapters all over the place.

The Orei 1x4 HDMI Extender Splitter is a great choice for distributing HDMI signals over long distances using CAT6/7 cables (up to 165 ft). It supports 1080P resolution with low latency, making it ideal for home entertainment, retail, and business setups. IR remote pass-through allows easy control of the source from any receiver. EDID management ensures compatibility with different displays, while the loop-out feature enables local monitoring. The plug-and-play design makes setup simple. Strong build quality prevents overheating and ensures durability. However, it lacks 4K support and requires high-quality cables for best performance. Despite this, it delivers reliable multi-display HDMI distribution with minimal signal loss. Rating: Highly recommended for 1080P setups!

OREI 1x4 HDMI Extender Splitter Multiple Over Single Cable CAT6/7 1080P with IR Remote EDID Management Used this to mirror a hdmi source to a 2nd TV 25m away (3rd and 4th TV planned for the future). Note that this device is used to send ONE hdmi source to 4-5 TVs and does not switch between multiple hdmi sources. From the packaging to the feel and function, this extender set oozes quality with the amount of thought clearly put into providing you with everything you could possibly need, from rack mounting provisions to the ir receivers and transmitters that allow you to use your remote at the 2nd location. The hardest thing involving this unit is pulling the ethernet cables to where they need to go. How it works is pretty straightforward. 1. Connect the hdmi source to the 'hdmi in' port on the main unit. 2. Use cat 6 (or higher) ethernet cable to connect the main unit to the sub unit. 3. 'hdmi out' from the sub unit connects to your tv or amp. The main unit is powered via included AC adapter (100-240v to [email protected]) while the sub units are powered via PoE using the same cat 6+ cable that carries the video signal so it's very portable and there's that much less clutter with no need for additional power cables. If you want your hdmi source's remote control to work at the remote location(s), connect the ir receivers (4 provided) to the sub units and the single provided ir blaster (transmitter) to the main unit. The receiver picks up the ir signal from your remote and sends it to the ir transmitter via cat6 cable. I've positioned the blaster about 8cm from my stb and have no issues with the range of the rx at 5m. The EDID switches on the main unit can be used to set the video output resolution. I set mine to 1080p/2ch audio but the unit has seetings ranging from 720p@60Hz to 4K@30Hz. There are 3D options for 1080p. Audio options include 2ch, hd audio and dolby/dts 5.1. HDMI/HDCP compliance is v1.4. Something not clearly indicated in the manual is that you can use the 'hdmi loop out' connector on the main unit to connect directly to your primary tv via hdmi cable, assuming it's adjacent to the main unit. so theoretically that means this 4 ethernet port unit can actually supply video to up to 5 tvs (4 network + 1 hdmi loop out). The manual indicates that the max distance for each cat6 cable run is 40m for 4k@30Hz video and 70m for 1080p@60Hz. My run involved 25m of standard 24 awg cat6 cable and a couple cat6 keystone jacks and I had no issues indicating the need for cat6e or cat7 cables. But if I wanted the 4k I might go with fancy cat7 and shielded cat7 keystone jacks. To summarize I'm very pleased with this unit and all that remains to be seen is how long it will last.

This was the fourth solution I tried to distribute Sky Q HD to every room in the house. Previous solutions didn’t work, were unreliable, reduced picture quality, suffered from a poor refresh rate or broke up intermittently. Thankfully this solution doesn’t suffer from any of these issues. The picture quality is crystal clear, audio is great and there’s no noticeable delay. The IR functionality also works flawlessly. I’m running the solution over the cat5e cabling that I have run throughout the house. The receivers are very small so easily hidden behind the TVs and the main unit has brackets to attach to the wall. Since this product needs to be connected directly to each of the receivers I had to locate it in the cupboard under the stairs where all the cat5 points are terminated. To enable this I used another Orei extender to extend the Sky Q image from the living room to the cupboard under the stairs.
