Bought this for my son's drafting class. Works as it should.

Very good for lettering, easy to use and a good quality.

My mother has used one of these for years and I never really understood why until I got this one and started using it in my planner. Really helps keeping everything lined up and organized.

This worked as designed and has held up well. I've found there are two varieties, a thin template, and a thicker template. This is the thinner version.

The original lettering guide, as pictured, is a thick, clear green, solid plastic. There's a bevel on one side of each slot opening to allow for use of an ink pen so the ink won't wick under the template. The lettering guide I received is a thinner, frosted green flexible plastic, like vinyl, with no ink-relief bevel. A lot "cheaper" than the original, but still mostly useful.

30 years ago I used a device similar to this when I was an apprentice, changing electrical prints. It keeps everything you write straight and uniform in size. I bought this to write addresses on envelopes, and it works well. This device is of sufficient thickness to stay firmly in place when I use it, and seems very durable. I find that my penmanship is much better now, even when I don’t use it. This is a well made device.

As a retired engineer I used my original R925 since 1971 and just recently broke from my mishandling it. This same model replacement is a total joke, thin and flimsey. Don't waste your money, find a good quality used one on Ebay. What a disappointment!

A small plastic lettering guide for drafting. Excellent product, maybe 3 x 6 inches. It was repulsively packed in 9x12 bubbled plastic envelope. Enough already Amazon. Use some biodegradable material or match he packaging to the product. I love the environment of which I am a part and on which all of us, including Jeff Bezos rely on to live. STOP WITH THE WASTED AND EXTRA PLASTIC.
