if I have a 30mm tube do I buy the 28mm? if so how will it grip to turn the blind?

Don't measure the outside of the pole, measure the internal diameter of the pole to get the correct size. You may find you pole is 28mm internally. The motor has a white part on the end which rotates which moves the roller, this has a groove in it which fits the groove inside your blind pole. Check you have a groove inside your pole before you buy a motor. If your pole is completely round with no groove it will not work. The motor needs this in the pole to grip

How do you link the broadlink rm pro+ with the motor?

I wish I knew! Broadlink are updating software all the time. I am still trying to work out answer. system except for broadlink works well.
