Posi-tap Connectors, 20-22 Gauge Wire, Bulk Pack of 20

Must have for any automobile related wiring. Quick and easy! Wish this was around when I was in my twenties.

I’ve never used Posi-Taps before - they’re great! No pre-stripping. Minimal damage to the insulation should the need be temporary and reusable should that be the case. Head and shoulders above their competitors at any price. Highly recommended.

I love these so I now just ordered a bulk pack just so I never run out. One con, they are very expensive but I will use them on tight spots and costly harnesses that I want to be sure I don't mess up an importnat wire. Last review I dinged one star due to price but this things are fantastic so today they get Five Stars. Such a simple concept, which I had thought of it. Limited availability too, you cant just find them anywhere but who cares, thats what we have Amazon for.

First off, I really don't like to use 'wire taps'. Maybe because the original wire taps, Scotch-Loks, were/still are garbage. I think it's a cheesy way to do automotive-type wiring, but with todays electronics and CAN-BUS systems, I can see their application. Also some people are very uncomfortable cutting and splicing factory wiring and these make tapping into a wire relatively easy. I used these to add several lighting accessories to my JL Wrangler and they all worker perfectly. Like my title says I think these little buggers are waaaaay over priced for what they are, but at least they work.

No more cutting, stripping, soldering, taping, none of that. Posi-taps are so easy and clean, I do all my wire splicing on my motorcycle and vehicle this way now. Nothing more needs to be said.

These connectors are great. Unlike the Ticon T-Taps, and Scotchlok 560s, theses Posi-Taps only create a small hole through the insulation of the wire you are tapping into. So if you decide to remove the tap, the wire is still well-protected. The connectors can then be reused without bending them back to new condition because they stay in new condition. I've been using multiple sizes of Posi-Tap connectors for decades for wiring all things automotive; lighting, GPS hardwiring, radar detector hardwiring, USB installations, dash cam installations, entertainment system installs, and many others. I have yet to have one fail or come apart.

These are super easy to use and work amazingly on existing circuits that you do not want to cut into!

I wanted to add running lights to my motorcycle. Posi-Taps made it incredibly easy..

These are super easy to use. However, the design leaves a gap where water can easily get into the connector. This would be okay in an interior setting, but if the wires are exposed to the elements, then this is not good, which is what I needed taps for. I tried using shrink tubing to make it water tight, but then I need to bend the wire it's tapping into to make it in line with the connector so the tubing goes over the wire as well. This is impossible if the wire you're tapping into is already taught and has no give.
