The most important thing is that he is just not a scholar who sits back and researches and formulates ideas he practices and actually teaches the system as a way of life, not many could say that. I recommend this book to all Christians who want to take the journey to be one with Christ. This book will put you on the path to experiencing the oneness in everything and is not bassed off of just having belief or faith. I come from a moderately religious background, and my knowledge of other religions other than my own are weak; and that's the same problem with many people. What I enjoyed most is how the author starts from the beginning - we learn about his own personal background and his journey to gain new religious and spiritual knowledge. The book then takes the reader on that very same journey by starting from the earliest texts and doctrines and shows how they have transcended and transformed into the religions/beliefs they are now. We learn about Jesus in the same way by reading the actual texts from sources that predate the Bible. It is incredible and very fascinating, it is definitely worth your time.

The unbiased Truth
Excellent book! This is a must read for individuals who are truly sincere about connecting with their Divine Self. The author is totally objective in his analysis of the historical events of religion, metaphysics, & philosophy.

Very good
This book was excellent. Dr. Ashby is a very knowledgeable individual who was able to show the similarities in the religions of the world and that our purpose as human beings, no matter the religion, is to return to our source. I recommend this book to anyone who is feeling the pressure to attain more out of life and find and be the Truth. This book will change your life.
