Affordable And Effecient!
I didn't want to break the bank. So, I settled with this headlamp. At first, I was worried it was gonna be a cheap, easily breakable waste of money. Little did I know I was very wrong. This headlamp has been used for the last two years for night runs and all my races ranging from 50Ks to a 100 miler. It works incredibly. I've never owned another headlamp before. So, I cannot really compare it to other lamps but I will say it seems to be a solid, well made lamp. The battery life on a full set of batteries will give you at least 6 hours of use from my experience. Very well lit for night time running. The issue I've found with this lamp, which probably is the same with all headlamps, is visuals when its raining, snowing, or foggy. It certainly makes it harder to see where you are going. Again, its probably common with all headlamps. So, don't let this throw you off. Conclusion, look into picking this up if you are in the market for an affordable yet effective headlamp.

Good headlamp at a reasonale price.
I really liked this headlamp when I received it. It is very bright. It adjusts to fit large neanderthal craniums like the one I have, but could also be adjusted to fit a child. The strap is made of a soft, comfortable material and the lamp itself is not heavy at all. It adjusts up and down very easily. Could easily be used for biking, running, trail walking, camping, etc. The four light systems is very nice, although slightly annoying to have to cycle through each time. It has a bright and a dim setting for the main light, as well as a steady red light as to not kill your night vision. It also has a flashing red version, which is nice. I think it would actually be good to strap around the dog's neck while walking at night. Anyways, I bought a couple of these or hiking and camping. I have not had the chance to use them as intended yet, but they seem like they will more than fit the bill for me. They seem to be just as good as the higher end brands at a more reasonable price. Because honestly, who really needs to spend 40+ on a headlamp? This was a good lamp and a good price and hopefully withstands the test of time.

Caving Friendly
I figure if this thing is bright enough to light my way in a wild cave with no other light source, then it's bright enough to light up most other situations. The light is balanced more toward white/blue than I like, but at the price I can't complain about that. The band was stretchy enough that it fit comfortably over my helmet, as well as being comfortable on the head. The light itself is able to rotate down, which is useful for not blinding others/seeing what's on the ground ahead, and I like that it has the strobe feature as well as the red light. The strobe is great if you need to get attention directed toward you. The red light was nice for when all I needed was to see something in my campground without lighting up the whole site (there is also a red light strobe, which I didn't utilize, but I know would be useful for cyclists/runners). This is a button setting and not a separate filter if that matters to you, but for my purposes it worked great. I haven't fully tested the battery life yet, but it was fine for a weekend camping trip with heavy-ish use (2.5 hrs straight use in the cave) on only the batteries it came with, so I was pleased with it.

Solid value for the money
So I purchased two of these, one for myself and one as a gift for my Dad. Both work great and I'm excited to try mine out in the backcountry and really test it out. It comes with batteries which is always nice, and the beam pattern is solid, nice and round and provides okay peripheral lighting, but definitely more on the spotlight then floodlight side of things, but still well balanced. I personally prefer a more oblong floodlight pattern, but for the price I can't complain. I haven't had it long enough nor had the opportunity to use it long enough to really comment on battery life, so that will potentially be updated later once I've used it more if I remember to update this review. Back to the product, it is light, the styling is very cool in my opinion in the white and green color, you can adjust the angle of the lamp downward, the strap is adjustable enough to fit on a ski helmet, so it should work for climbing helmets too, and the battery hatch seems waterproof but is also easy to open. I would not recommend this as a bike light spare for night mountain biking, but I'm biased in that For night riding I want something that is almost rivaling a cars headlight, and that's simply not what this is designed for. As a general camping and hiking and around the house headlamp, this is brilliant and an excellent value. I have yet to test the water resistance, but I do believe that it can survive drops into small puddles and rain or snow without issue. I wouldn't deliberately submerge it, but the battery door gasket is substantial enough to make me believe it will hold up in the intended operating conditions without issue. So you're probably wondering, why 4 instead of 5 stars? Which is a great question, since I pretty much only praised it above. Well for me, a 5 star product has to be truly exceptional, and I haven't had it long enough to accurately make that call, but the potential is there if it proves to be extremely reliable. I personally would also like to see a somewhat more advanced user interface, either a two button system where there is a single button just for on and off, and another one on the side to change modes, or a software change so that it requires a long press to turn it on and off, and short presses to cycle through the modes once it is on. Either system would be a nice improvement to the system and help ensure it doesn't turn on in a pack, but definitely aren't necessary to the function of the headlamp. the systems would also improve the lifespan by decreasing the amount of button presses required to use the headlamp. Just to be clear, I haven't hiked or camped with this yet, and I'm not expecting it to turn on my pack and I doubt it will, but a safe guard against it happening is always a nice feature if you plan on relying on this light while backpacking. And again, as I said above, it works great and is an awesome value, but it would be even better with a slightly more advanced user interface. I think that sums things up nicely. I 100% would recommend this headlamp so far, especially if you are just getting into camping or hiking and need a headlamp.

Good value nice little light. A lot of uses for the right price.
Bought this little gem on a lightening deal, wish I had purchased a lot more of them besides one. A few years back one of the contractors I worked for bought a bunch of headlamps and handed them out like candy thinking that it would help out on Comp claims. They where junk and very difficult to use after a few weeks no one used them or even carried them on the job sight. If they had purchased these simple headlamps it would have been a different story. The on switch is easy to use and the batteries can be replaced without using that annoying 3 battery holder that so many battery powered lights use. Most of us used the headlamps that clamped on to the bill of our hats afterwards once we got use to them they just stayed on our hardhats all day. I bought this for my five year old grandson so of course I had to check it out first. Well, it is worth the price. If you consider buying a headlamp and don't want to invest big buck$ without seeing if they work for you go this route first. I'm buying more to handout and can see many uses while working on vehicles etc. or just to have in the toolbox. You never know when changing a flat tire at night how handy this little light could be.

Just get two, you won't regret it.
I bought two of these (one orange and one green) for a 4 day backpacking / mt climbing trip based on the reviews and the light weight. The orange one exceeded my expectations. The green one would fall off the band but the orange one had a thicker band and was really solid. I was contacted by the company and mentioned this, they are sending a thick green band at no charge. About the light: It is certainly bright enough to hike at night, it is very light, the batteries last a long time. Low setting is good for around the camp or reading, and the red is very good for using in the tent. It was dropped a few times with no problems, I wore it in driving rain and still no problems. I've used military streamlights and this light is preferred as it is more of a flood. The red flashing is not needed for camping but I can see it would be useful for walking at night around traffic. Durability seems really good also, with thick plastic that doesn't feel cheap at all. About the customer service: I received a follow up mail checking that I received them, I responded with the band issue and immediately was offered a replacement. I don't think these guys realize that they have great brand value because the customer service is so exceptional in today's throw away economy. I would buy from them again, they are standing behind their product.

Just what I needed. Worked great.
Worked great. I was in Tanzania and staying in tents. Very nice tents, but the lighting was not great, and there were times I didn't want lots of lights on, like at night. I used this headlamp often to search the floors, for night trips to the bathroom in the same tent, to supplement lighting for getting my hair combed, and so forth. I liked the bright and the slightly less bright (but not dim) lights. I only used the red light once or twice when I was up in the middle of the night and didn't want to wake up too much. I wore it on my head some of the time, not always, depending on what the need was. I also used it for walking outside with the guide back to my tent after dark. He had a light but it was in front of him, and I also wanted a light for myself. This was also a good price. I compared it to stores and it was just what I needed.

Great headlamp. Was leary to buy since so many to pick from. It has a nice wide band which is adjustable and fits nicely. The light is bright. Like the strobe red light. Probably won't use but nice to know you can use it if you get lost. It bends down and nice to have while traveling. Sure I will get lots of use from it. will carry extra batteries since almost all reviews say , about all headlamps, that they go thru a lot of batteries. this comes with batteries and they are expensive long lasting ones. Cheap price and was amazed how nice it is. has 4 different settings...high, low , red and strobe red. Great buy. thinking about getting another one for a xmas present.

Shining buddy head light
I love the headlamp. Super bright LED. Press once for light, second press super bright like high beam on a car. Wonderful for where I am night walks in the mountains. Third press and you get the red lights ar the sides of the main light. You can have them strobe, like hazard lights, or on red all the time. Really happy with it. I will definitely be purchasing more for the whole family. Good for hiking, bike riding, rollar blading or most dry sports.

Super hell

Batterien entwendet!
Schnelle Lieferung, tolle Lampe.
