Forney 38073 Solder Rosin 1/16", 4 oz.,Silver

This is great solder. Works perfectly with my model train layout wiring

I have been using this Forney 60/40 electrical solder for a few years now, but finally got around to writing a review: I have tried numerous different types of solder but this one in particular is my preferred solder for all of my RC electrical work. I use a Hakko 972 station and can use this solder from QS10 connectors to XT30 and smaller PCB to 22AWG solder work. It sticks well when used in conjunction with MG chemicals flux paste. Liquifies almost instantly with a solder tip @715°F. Sets in about 1second, which gives me plenty of time for any last moment adjustments. As long as a good flux is used, there’s never been a cold solder joint. Highly recommend.

Accidentally ordered this instead of the stained lass solder. Also accidentally used it as a decorative treatment on copper sheet foil on a piece. Not on the tape at the edge of the glass. Didn't waste it but won't order it again.

Priced right and preformed well. Melted great and bonded for the connector like it should.

Wish the manufacture's would use a better form of plastic for the wire reels . Mine was broken so badly I will need to re-use and old reel to hopefully rewind it onto. I'm sure that will be quite the experience to attempt.. Start keeping your old reels just in case you have the same issue I did folks. Good luck. 4oz of solder for this price and quality is hard to beat. Wire us a tad thick but for batteries and adapters, Perfect.

I've tried a lot of solders and this one melts the quickest and bond great without the use of any other flux. I feel like I know what I'm doing using this solder and the finished connection looks it look like I've been doing this a while. The only problem is its making me lazy regarding cleaning the material to be soldered. There must be better rosin or something that makes this work so easily.

This stuff is absolutely amazing. Salutations to the suppliers that provided quick and damage-free shipment! No matter what project I'm working on, the soldier melts like butter, applies really easily, and gives the impression that I know what I'm doing. Very Recommended

What can I say, it's leaded solder that works great on electrical connections and electrical repairs. Melts easily with my butane iron and flows well leaving solid connections. Can't ask for much better out of solder.
