The Robber Knight - Special Edition (The Robber Knight Saga Book 1)

I read all books by 'Sir Rob' available in Watpat - the Robber Knight actually after I read the storm series (as I like that so much and couldn't wait for the next chapters to be released or the next book being published). I love the story and bought the book a) as I believe supporting good writers, and b) there is a whole additional story about the robbers knight's past. The second book is also good, but the third is the best. It makes no sense to read only one of the books as they are a continuous story. I can't wait until publishing so I can read the next part of the robber knight's story. I believe this one is one of his first books in English and you can feel that he was rather young when he wrote it. An english native speaking editor would probably have been good, as there are a few expressions from German language which I doubt would be used in English. You won't miss the meaning though and it's hilarious if you understand German. The later books are much better in this regard and better edited. Rob has assembled an impressive fan base in Watpat, who support him with tips. It's fun following some comments and background story of the writing and writer. I am super happy that he continues to provide the books for free in Watpat, but buying the books is absolutely worth the value of the additional chapters. I already recommended his books to several friends and love supporting this young writer in hope of many many more books to come. Btw. his storm series books were the first ever I read on Watpat, I can't wait for the 3rd book being published - not to mention the fourth! I love his humor, the story is excellent! Awesome! Must buy! :) Message to Rob: please bring out your next books soon :)

Lots of humor and history with a touch of rmance

Loved the book. Loved the story line. Talented author. I do not even mind it is continued in the next book. My only reason for a 4-star rating is that the author goes into great detail with footnotes to explain the meaning of words, which is an insult to a person like me who has read hundreds of historical novels from all eras.....BUT after all the pains he takes to explain words with those annoying footnotes, he does not use correct period grammar in his dialogue! I sometimes thought I was reading dialogue of today's teenager! What is that about? I read STORM & SILENCE and found it more than amusing and I have the second and third books of that series. Criticism aside, I heartily recommend this book and this author!

I have enjoyed the works of Sir Rob over on wattpad and was excited to see his works of beautiful writing broght to publication. I cannot wait to continue the saga of Sir Reuben and hear of his mysterious past that will lead him to Lady Ayla's lands and arms.

I enjoyed this story so much!!! It was discovering love, fighting the enemy, and all with a dose of humor!!!! Flowed so well without the feeling of taking forever to enjoy a great story!!! Not to mention, 'what is' Rueben?!

I liked the book except for the fact that when I downloaded it it had not said it was not a stand alone book. I get all the way to the last page and now I have to purchase the next book? To say I was upset is putting it mildly!!! The storyline was a good one but the dialogue better fit the modern age than the 1200s. And there were a few things that just didn't fit. I won't go into detail but there were just some things that seemed strange to me.

I love this series! It is a really original concept and very well written. I wish it was turned into a TV series as it's much better than 90% of what's out there these days. Sir Reuben and Lady Ayla have a really unique "relationship" and I love their bantering. This series made me laugh, cry, and I couldn't put it down!

I first read the series on Wattpad and I absolutely love them. I Had to buy them! I enjoy the story plot! Watching Sir Reuben and Ayla's love blooms over the three books was beautiful.

Schade, dass es das nicht auf Deutsch gibt. Aber dank Kindle-Wörterbuch auch für Leute lesbar, die Rezensionen lieber in Deutsch als in Englisch schreiben.

The most amazing book ever! A total must read.....

I originally found this book on wattpad and I fell in love with it instantly, and when I saw it was being released on paperback I had to have it! I honestly can't wait for the sequel :D I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a bit of romance, heroines and dashing knights :)
