Arkham Asylum, having now received the remaster treatment (by Dave McKean himself) that it truly deserves, is what a fan of the graphic novel needs to own. It looks phenomenal. One of my best purchases of the year.

Hands down what it says - ABSOLUTE. Just a glance at the cover sends shivers down my spine. Be very careful if you are buying as a gift, though - as you will be green with envy at the lucky b*stard you are giving this treasure to :)

Great story...a little short but a great read, and I loved the art style. Arrived just in time as an early Christmas present to myself. This will be a great start on my journey to collect ABSOLUTE editions

This story has been presented beautifully in this Absolute Edition with nice, thick paper and punchy colours. Nothing wrong with this release, in my opinion. The slipcover is great, and all the extra material such as the full script is perfect for any fan of this story. As for the comic itself, it may be too edgy for some fans but I've always loved the psychology aspect of the Batman mythos and Arkham Asylum probably explores that better than any other comic I've read. Less inspired by '40s noir detective stories and owing more to European cinema, it's definitely a left turn for this character but it still feels like a natural step towards diving deeper into Batman's highly disturbed mind, and his even more disturbed villains. The artwork is just stunning, but certainly not for everyone. To me, it's really capturing the mood and atmosphere of what's going on rather than a literal representation of it. It's a strange kind of beautiful. All in all, not just a great release of this comic but probably the best, and at a very reasonable price.

Se que es un clasico imperdible, pero no había tenido la oportunidad de leerla, y con esta edición de 30 Aniversario, simplemente valio la pena, no hay un mejor formato para disfrutarla como lo fue en mi caso por primera vez, sino para volver a revivir , todo lo que ofrece esta obra, la tristeza, la locura y finalmente la esperanza, una obra que te demuestra que el Asilo Arkham es un ente vivo, atraedor de la locura y la desesperación, pero a la vez es un faro de esperanza para la redencion.
