Love it
Does what it says! Instead of replacing the spicket thing I just used this and it doesn’t leak anymore. The black thing holds it on. Can’t use on anything that puts pressure on it like a kids toy, pops off. But still good for the money and easy to use.

when used correctly, this is the best when "stealing" water at the RV dump station
I have used one of these for about 9 years and it's nearly worn out. It's just now showing signs of dry rot. The package explicitly say it's not for any use that will create back pressure. However, as others have pointed out and I have done for years, 2 hose clamps cures any issues with the item coming off the hose that it's on. I have used this with excellent results to connect to the RV tank flush connection. Most if not all RV dump stations, have a hose that has a male connector that is beat to crap or no connector at all. I slip this on, tighten a hose clamp, and connect it to the trailer. I do recommend you use 2 hose clamps: 1 just behind the male end of the water bandit and 1 for the hose connection being attached. Tighten securely! Another reviewer suggested these KOEHLER EZ clamps https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XAKHCLW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and they will work better than the one's I have now that require a screwdriver! Use these correctly and water won't spray everywhere as others have commented. Beware using any type of valve down stream from this, or else it will either burst or the connecting hose come off the end. Even with the hose clamps, it's not meant for any connection with back pressure. For instance, if you have one of those long clean-out wands the are put through the commode into the holding tank and there is a valve on the wand, the back pressure will quickly blow the hose off the end of the water bandit if the valve is closed. I highly recommend this water bandit tool when used with common sense.

This is barely ok, and even that doesn't last
I bought this for the same reason as one of the previous reviewers, to attach a short outdoor hose to my deep sink faucet so I can wash my dog with warm water outside. That reviewer was basically happy with how it functioned, but I'm not personally . The item itself seems well made and useful, but it constantly pops off the deep sink faucet once the water is on. You have to keep the water at barely over a trickle, or.the pressure blam it off, forcing you to go replace it in the middle of washing the dog. I've made great effort to seat the sleeve deeply, and be super conscious that there's no restriction to flow -- for example, using the spray head was quickly out of the question. So when it's actually working, I just have a very tiny stream of water, no spray head, and certainly no pressure. It does function, so that's better than nothing, but only barely. A side note -- the categories for stars are "Durability", "Lightweight" and "Value for Money". They have little to do with the actual ability to use the thing. I only responded to "Value for Money" and gave it two stars. Revised: It's now a month later, and after 1x daily use, it's not working at all. Just pops off immediately, even with all above tricks used. Now one star, would be zero if possible.

Works well at low pressure
I bought this to use with my python aquarium water changing hose/siphoning system as the closest sink to my aquarium did not have a compatible faucet head to screw into. I was worried it might not stick to the faucet that well since it's not made for high water pressure, but I was able to make it work. I have pretty high water pressure, so I just turned the faucet on partway, and that worked for me. Water was able to pass through at a slower pace and still fill up my tank without the Water Bandit flying off the faucet.I experimented and found it would work if the water pressure was higher, but I had to hold it around the faucet with my hand pretty firmly, so if you want to do this, you would need to work with a partner. For python siphon users, this may be required if you are using the siphon/vacuum functionality of the kit for cleaning your gravel, I didn't try that out, just used it for water fill of a new tank so far.One thing to note, the end that goes over your faucet/water pipe is pretty narrow. I have one faucet head that was too wide for it to wrap around it, so make sure you have one that's on the narrower side.

New style works better than old
This is my second order. I'm much happier with my second order and it works. I was very happy with this new "model." It had a different grey instead of gold screw on base. I hooked it up to the faucet and didn't need a clamp and nothing burst. This hose adapter is very easy to use. You just screw it on the end of the hose and slip the "sleeve" over your faucet spout. Do NOT turn the water on high. You'll want a slower flow. This isn't great for car washes, but I use it to fill up the RV tank from my kitchen or bathroom faucet and it works for that. This is a useful product and it's handy to have around if you have a camper. (I had one before and like other people experienced, it exploded and cracked. I was able to use a small ring clamp to wear it out to the end and still use it until I lost it. It did help me use a hose on my wonky faucet with an abnormal spout. I haven't had any problems with the most recent one I ordered.)

Will rip open if you apply pressure!
This product is fine if you use it EXACTLY as the instructions indicate. But it's a pain in the rear to do so. Do NOT add a hose clamp to this to hold it on the faucet and apply water pressure by having your hose end not open! IT WILL RIP OPEN and spray water all over the room!!! Don't ask me how I know....If you're OK with walking back and forth to the faucet to turn it on and off every 5 seconds then great but if you need to stop water flow at the hose end this will shoot off the faucet, dropping it to the floor and causing a mess. THAT'S what caused me to put a hose clamp on it at the faucet. Then I turned on the water, walked to the end of the hose where the water was coming out, shut off the water with the hose nozzle an BLAMMO, ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! The boot split and was shooting water in countless directions and making a huge mess! No matter what Ibdid with this, it caused me to clean up water every flipping time! Wish I never bought this!I basically hate this thing. It's useless for what I needed and I bought something else that screws onto any faucet and let's me turn on the water and then operate the hose end nozzle on and off as needed like using a regular hose. This thing has a very narrow use case scenario list....of which, nothing normal people do with a hose is on it.

Works perfectly with washer drain hose
This is an amazing product and I hope the inventor retires as a wealthy person in Hawaii. YOU NEED one of these! Our gray water drain went out, so we couldn't do any laundry. If you haven't gone to a laundromat lately, you will be in for a big surprise at the cost and be prepared to spend an hour or two down there. We had been waiting for months to find an excavator to tie our washer and dishwasher and kitchen sink to our septic system but everyone we called was months out. The system finally stopped altogether 3 days before we were to go on a long-awaited vacation. To top it off, my husband hurt his leg badly and has to stay in bed until we leave, hopefully recovering enough to go. With laundry and dishes piling up, I frantically looked on the internet for solutions so we could wash laundry and dishes before we went. This little gadget hooked up to the washer drain hose and then to a regular garden hose and I did loads of laundry, no problem. Then we hooked it to the dishwasher drain hose with a clamp and that worked perfectly. Many, many thanks for this great gadget. You neven know when you will need it!

Loose fitting ... keeps sliding out on modern bathroom/kitchen taps
Does not connect to all types of taps. Works only with male type/connector taps.

Utilissimo

Does what it says it will do of used as per instructions
Made of soft stretchy rubber, Does what it says it will do of used as per instructions!! It is not designed to stay attached under any pressure except an open ended hose!"NOTE: discharge end of Hose must remain open while in operation. Water Bandit is not designed to hold back pressure. Never leave water bend it connected while unattended."If you follow the recommendations it works to allow being able to get (or steal like a 'Bandit' like the name might suggest) water to fill your RV water tank or other container with a hose from some styles of faucets that are not originally meant to connect a hose to, be prepared to help hold it on! And don't install a shutoff valve onto it! it is not meant to be used except with an open hose!I put a ziptie on the barb end but not sure that it really needs it, fits min size of 7/8" to approx 1 1/8" maybe more if you stretch it, also fits good onto 3/4 NPT pipe thread
