Good enough for astronomical use
I got these UpClose G2, the 7x35 for my wife and the 10x50 for me. Mainly for astronomical use. These may not be astronomically optimized, fully multi coated, pixy dusted binoculars, but these humble $25 binos are good enough for star gazing. They survived international shipping in perfect collimation. Focus works well, images are sharp, views of the stars are amazing.A note on sizes:7x35 is a great size for more prolonged handheld use. The magnification is also "just right" for navigating the sky, because more constellations and star clusters fit in the field of view. The 10x50 size is heavier, my hands/arms get tired sooner of holding it. The higher magnification means better views of many things (from the moon to Orion's Nebula) but also means a narrower field of view.A note on focusing: learn how to do it! After adjusting the width to your interpupillary distance, put one of the lens caps on the right lense (so that it's blocked and only your left eye sees through). Then aim at a star, and focus the knob until it's looks like a perfect spot. The switch the cap to the left lense, look with your right eye, and rotate the eyepiece (not the center knob!) until the star is again a perfect spot. Then it's done, remove the lens cap and enjoy! The carry bags an lens caps / dust covers they came with are serviceable. All in all, these are good quality an excellent value.

Wide pupillary distance
Wanted to like, and might work well for some people, especially for the price. Lenses seem to be good quality. But I'm a 6' tall adult male, and the smallest pupillary distance setting on these binoculars was wider than my pupils. No-go for me. And 1 of the wide lenses was bent and dented before it was shipped to me, making the pair I was sent utterly useless to anyone. Thanks Amazon warehouse! This pair of binoculars is currently awaiting use as a paper weight in my office. Average eye-width people may find these a bargain though!

Tugboat approved
I’m a New York Harbor tugboat captain and I bought these for work. I like them very handy. I like the size and weight. Adjust and Focus easy. Good price, binoculars often get knocked over and prisms get loose making them monoculars. If these get bumped your your not out of a bundle of cash!

Best bang for buck!
The image is OK for the price. I got them as a lower power companion to my Skymaster DX 8x56. Being very light, image is crisp and contrast is great. Optic defects are apparent 20% from the border (just a little fuzzy radially) but for it's price range, I think you cannot get any better. Strap is a little thin and may feel uncomfortable after a while, you could add a larger/wider one, like the ones from DSLR cameras. The grip is great, even a dedicated rubberized spot for the thumbs. Very well designed. They are tripod compatible, so these can be your partners for a lot of activities.

Not a Close Focus Binocular
Website description says it's a close focus Binocular. It is not a close focus binocular. It's roughly 18-20 feet minimum focus.Otherwise they are very good for what it is. Very clear and bright, It lacks a little for low light but decent. The exit pupil is also very good.

Good binoculars, they look sturdy and have a good image
They are my first binoculars, I use them for astronomy, it is good magnification to be able to see the sky (holding it with my hands) without the image moving. Easy to use, come in good packaging and for the price, a good purchase

You get what you pay for...
There's a dozen things that are lacking with this product. For example, to name an important one, lens anti-reflection coatings are completely lacking. At least I don't see any evidence of it. The picture shows the objiective lenses with green glow on them, implying some coating. Forget it, there's no such coatings on them. However, for the money the product is acceptable. It certainly isn't a Zeiss. And yes, its made in China. What isn't this day and age?Nevertheless, what bothers me the most is that Celestron would have its name associated with such low level quality. I just don't get it. In my opinion, it harms this company's otherwise stellar reputation and causes me to re-consider purchasing any of their products, wether its a telescope or an eyepiece or whatever. Hey, but that's just me you know? That's too bad...

Solide, bon
