Wow! He's done it again! Ted has blown my mind and challenged me to open my eyes and see life through a new perspective! If you’ve not read a Ted Dekker novel before, prepare to be thrilled and amazed (and hopefully hooked). If you have read Ted, be prepared to dig deep and be amazed. Either way the 49th Mystic is an incredible story that will not disappoint. Ted has the incredible ability, the gift really, of taking a Biblical truth that is difficult to understand and even harder to apply and through his stories he paints a picture of what these truths look like lived out in everyday life. And now he paints us a picture of what it looks like to walk in our true identity, as the Father sees us. I am amazed. I am changed. I am renewed to continue walking. And I am more than excited for the continuation of this incredible journey in book two. In true Ted fashion, he has given each reader a choice. You can read this book as the incredible, in-depth story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, turning pages, so difficult to put down. Or you can choose to let it grab hold of your heart and lead to a deeper level of God’s truth that is Biblically sound. Whether you read it for the story that will blow your mind or accept the challenge to let God speak to you at the same time, you are in for the ride of your life. Do we have eyes to see and ears to hear, or not - the choice is ours.

I had no idea this was a Christian fiction book but I loved it! I'm actually not religious at all, been to church like 3 times in my life but it had me sobbing. If you're going through a tough time and need a little bit of faith, I highly recommend this book. I feel like some books come into your life when you need them the most.

It’s a captivating story of a young blind girl, on a quest for sight. This book is all about light and dark. Seeing and blindness. Polarity; Opposites. Maybe we’re all blind and we don’t know it. It’s a captivating story, but that’s not all it is. It makes you question everything you know. It’s contains deep truths that cause you to search your soul. We live in a world of absolute laws, but as followers of Yeshua’s (Jesus’) way we aren’t supposed to be of this world. So why do we live by what our physical eyes can see instead of putting our faith in what we can’t see? Why do we live in fear, when perfect love drives out fear? Why do we live with bitterness, when perfect love holds no record of wrong? We have died with Yeshua, when he put an end to the law of sin and death. It’s time we stop living by those laws, completely die to them, so that through Him we can do the impossible. Maybe we’ll even walk on water.

I started reading this and got bored.. quickly and put it down.. but after a few weeks I picked it up again for some unknown reason and simply could not put it down. So many things spoke to me within. This book makes me wonder about The Author and his uncanny ability to talk about things in a book that have been happening in my life of late. Not the Mystic stuff of course, but the messages from God. God speaking to me.. through this book. For years he has told me to keep no record of wrong.. before reading this book he has been whispering it to me again. Then the book talks about that very subject in depth.. We just had a study on the Parable of the Light under a Basket.. then I read this.. God certainly has a way of getting our attention.. even if through a “fictional” novel. Bravo. I can’t wait to read the second book!

When I give this book five stars, I mean five stars. I like Ted Dekker's style of writing. His writing flows easily and is understandable. This book is action-packed, thought-provoking, and well worth the read! I love the fact that Mr. Dekker addresses the fact that so many of us are blind to how much God really loves all of us -ALL of us - whether Christians, Muslims, unbelievers, etc. But, do we truly know and understand the Extent to which God loves us and what our Identity is in Him? Mystic doesn't mean what I thought it meant, when I looked up the definition of Mystic, while reading this book. This book is very interesting and can also be filed under the genre "Syfy." It is the first of a duo, and I can't wait for the next one to come out in October 2018!

I listened to the first few chapters provided as an audio review on YouTube. This is an excellent spiritual story that already inspires me. A friend recommended book two, and I discovered this is book one. I will read this first. I appreciate the encouragement of inspiring stories that I can relate to.

Sooo Very Challenging to go a little deeper in your thinking.....just to be awaken to the idea that there is Sooo much more to be reached in a personal relationship with God the Father, the Son and the Spirit....to hear and feel how one willing blind girl, will open herself to the truths of Gods word and walk in the light with Him, is encouraging and inspiring and astonishing... A must read.

Great book. Gripping from the start.

Again another book that I can't put down Makes you look at your own Christian walk. Ted Decker has an amazing insight into the life in Christ

Ted Dekker has done it again! In my opinion, this is his best work to date. This story contains so much truth and wisdom, I kept a notebook handy as I was reading so I could jot down things I didn't want to forget. Rachelle's journey mirrors our own - the struggles, the choices, the decisions that ultimately determine our path in life. Thank you, Mr. Dekker, for another "make you think" novel. Love it! Now to wait for the release of "Rise of the Mystics" and the conclusion of Rachelle's story.

This book takes you to another reality, whilst causing you to question your own present reality.... am I truly seeing and living in the light that Jesus gave? A truly gripping story to follow the awesome Circle series.,
