Review: Most extensive keto baking book out there! - This is the newest and most anticipated cookbook by Carolyn Ketchum. I saw her at a book signing and she is as gracious as you can imagine and has such a passion for keto baking that really came through. This book was definitely a passion project and it shows. I could sit and listen to her all day because of her enthusiasm and knowledge on the subject of keto baking. The one thing that is really interesting is that she follows a keto diet to manage her type 2 diabetes, not for weight loss. If you follow a keto diet or just want to make delicious recipes while cutting sugar out of your diet this is the cookbook for you. I have all her cookbooks and they are all the real deal. She manages to cut out sugar and carbs and make things taste awesome! In the beginning of the book she does a great job of explaining the science behind keto baking and has done extensive research on nut/low carb flours and all the sweeteners and how they work together to make things turn out delicious without losing the texture and flavor. Then come the recipes! She has a full page beautiful picture of each and every recipe. There are plenty of savory recipes in there so they aren't all desserts. There are so many recipes I can't wait to try I honestly don't know where to start. I'm definitely making the cowboy cookies because I'm missing the texture of oatmeal cookies(there is not oatmeal in the recipe), I also can't wait to try the dairy-free lemon cake. She has plenty of dairy free recipes also and gives plenty of substitutions if you are trying to cut back on dairy. The recipes are all easy to follow and contain ingredients that are not hard to find. If you follow a keto or low carb diet and want to eat amazing desserts this book is a must! Review: Must have! - If you keto is a long term lifestyle for you and you miss your favorite baked goods, then you NEED this book! It really is the ultimate guide to keto baking. I read through the entire book, cover to cover, and Carolyn Ketchum is truly knowledgeable of the science behind low carb baking and how it differs from conventional baking. I also love how each recipe discusses possible substitutes and modifications for certain ingredients. The directions are expertly written and leave no confusion to the reader. The guide alone to keto baking, at the beginning of the book, is indispensable. The variety of recipes given is amazingly vast, you will surely find many within that you are interested in trying. As a novice baker, I found the recipes very easy to follow -- I definitely felt like my hand was being held, but had the confidence to make substitutions where indicated. The first recipe we tried was the Yellow Birthday Cake, for my birthday no less, along with the Swiss Meringue Buttercream.. and OMG! It all turned out perfect. We topped it with sugar free sprinkles, too. Don't even get me started on the brownie recipes in the book, the chocolate brownies are seriously better than the brownies I had eaten prior to beginning my keto journey. I can't wait to try more recipes, like the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Blondies, Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake, and the Cowboy Cookies. I think it really says something that the recipes in this book have turned out so well for me that I have complete trust that any other recipes I try in this book will turn out great. I've followed several well-known keto recipe authors, and in my opinion, Carolyn has the most trust-worthy recipes. Making keto baked goods that taste this good, truly feels empowering.

Beautiful, well-presented cookbook!
I was diagnosed with diabetes & Chronic Kidney Disease 1 year ago. Both are now very well controlled. The one thing I missed a lot was baking. Traditional cookbooks & recipes all the way from my Grandma up to today contain too many ingredients that are considered no longer good for your body. The main issue for me is sugar, carbs, and sodium. After reading so many great reviews, I purchased Carolyn Ketchum's "The Ultimate Guide to Keto Baking" book. This book is a gamechanger. It's everything covered under all the positive reviews so be sure to read those too; I won't duplicate here. The pictures, ingredients, explanations, instructions, and tips are very much appreciated. The variety is awesome. SO many cookbooks do NOT provide the breakdown on the nutrition facts: this book does for every recipe. Yes...you must buy 'good' substitutes for most recipes but look at what the 'bad' ingredients have done to us over the years. Finally feel like there are some really great recipes/approaches out there now & this book is extremely well done. Is it worth it? Weighing in at almost 3 pounds - yes! Can't wait to begin baking again.

Easy sugar-free Keto desserts you'll love!
If you want to lose weight, but you have wicked love for sweet and tasty desserts and breads, this is the one book I would recommend--chocked full of yummy recipes sure to satisfy! Of course, even these delectable treats can't be enjoyed non-stop, but i have a small treat everyday, and I have lost almost 50 lbs on Keto. What I love about this book is two-fold. It has wonderful directions, including the perfect utensils and pans to use, how to get the perfect measurements, and what ingredients will deliver the best results for any dish. And, as mentioned earlier - full od fabulous recipes. After trying several from internet posts, I decided I had to have this book in my collection. You can serve most of these yummy desserts to friends and family...if you're willing to share. I'll think about it!

Delish, informative but book ink can smear 🥲
Carolyn has the best recipes! I just baked the Peanut Butter “oatmeal” bars made with no oatmeal! I always touch the cookbook pages and these pages smear if you have oily fingers. This did not happen in her other cookbooks. Just giving you a heads up. This does not want me to return the cookbook. It’s just if the publisher did something different for them to know. Enjoy her amazing recipes. Drooling as these bars are still cooling. Happy baking from Arizona to you!!

Ganzia grinder/smoothie-maker top useful small kitchen appliance
After almost a year of constant use, I rate this grinder the highest and most useful gadget. It is used most for grinding 5 different seeds for healthful breads and performs at top efficiency. The motor is steady and able to grind quickly and thoroughly. What a time saver! It is quick and easy to clean after use. This was money well spent and the price was well worth the 3 containers and two grinder tops included. A nice gift idea for someone who makes smoothies or low carb seed bread.

Perfect!
I'm just starting Keto & I love to bake. This cookbook is FABULOUS! Instructions are clear, ingredients are not out of the ordinary (for Keto standards) and everything I've tried so far is delicious! Sometimes you just need something sweet and it is so good to know I can make my own here at home, know what's going into it and not spend a fortune to get a treat. This picture is just the chocolate cupcake recipe poured into a Nordic Ware pan. The nutritionals are included, so I just did the math to calculate each of the 9 squares is 196 calories and 3.3 carbs. Or, of I don't have "wiggle room", I can cut in half for just under 100 calories & only 1.7 carbs. Wow! The author takes time to explain the recipes and give ideas for alternate (daily free, vegan, etc.) subs that can be made. I'm loving this book and so happy to have it I'm my arsenal!

Must read for every keto baker!
Like many other reviewers, I too have been following Carolyn's blog for a few years now and was so excited to see that she had a baking book out! True to its name, this book is a must read for every keto baker, especially since she devoted the first three chapters to keto baking essentials, equipment, and ingredients, which not many books do. Don't get me wrong, I love the recipes in the book, but I think I enjoyed the first three chapters even more, as I think I have learned so much from them! I can't wait to get started with the recipes from her book (I have made many from her blog, of which most have been successful), I'm just torn for choice as to where to begin :) Thank you for a wonderful book, Carolyn, I'm so happy I bought this. I do, however, have just a few comments/suggestions: 1. Page 47 states that unsweetened chocolate is not available in the UK, but for several years now I have been buying Montezuma's 100% (available in Montezuma's shops or even some grocery stores like The Co-operative), Willie's Cacao (available online on their website or Amazon UK), Hotel Chocolat (in their shops and online on their website), Callebaut (available on Amazon UK), and several other wonderful (if a bit expensive) brands from Cocoa Runners online without any problems and used them in cooking (and to snack on!) They are all marvellous! Even Lindt 99% chocolate is available in several grocery stores like Waitrose and Sainsbury's. So perhaps the next edition of this book can correct this entry or include this information? 2. I was relieved to see measurements in weights for some important ingredients, and the metric converter at the end, but as Carolyn has a worldwide audience and the book is sold in many countries, perhaps future editions could have measurements in weights in both imperial and metric for all ingredients in the recipes? I know that is a lot of work, but I think it would add huge value to the book. Also, cup sizes are not necessarily the same in all countries so weight measurements play an important role where ingredient accuracy is crucial. I use weight measures for all my cooking and baking and will convert these recipes to metric weights for my own use as and when I make each recipe, so this is of course just a suggestion... I love this book regardless and highly recommend it to any enthusiastic keto baker :)

excellent cookbook
I stumbled across this lady’s channel on YouTube. Best thing that ever happened! I was desperate for some treats and this book has provided some fantastic recipes i can’t wait to try. It’s very informative. The recipes are reasonably simple and they are the kinds of good ol’ treats we all love. Cakes, cookies and biscuits, scones, some truely scrumptious cakes, to mention only a few. I just need too round up some keto versions of the ingredients, then I’ll probably guts myself with a whole pan of Scottish shortbread!

Most useful tool in keto baking
Absolutely love it. The photos are all beautifully taken so the goal is clear. With ingredients clearly printed out there is no need to search an online blog and read thru tons of info just to get to a recipe. Very useful tool. Also great for when you run out of ideas . Have ordered another keto cookbook by the same author together with this but this one arrives first, within 3 days. Very happy with purchase.
