Fablon FAB13832 Rice Paper Window Film, White & Off-White

Second edit: a year later this adhesive film still looks perfect on every window I've applied it on! What a great product! Added a picture I just took to illustrate opaqueness and also to show what this product looks like after a year in place. Edited to five stars - after a few months it's in perfect condition and looks freaking amazing while all the windows I put cling film on are peeling and look awful. Original review: Actual adhesive! I thought this would be static film, but it's a giant sticker. Harder to install, looks amazing once it's on. Totally opaque, excellent privacy! We used this on windows that face our neighbors who keep a junk heap between our homes. No more ugly view! Please give feedback if you thought this review was helpful 🙌

I was iffy about getting it because there are only a couple of reviews posted but I took a chance and bought 2 rolls. It only comes with the cling film no squeegee or anything but it isnt needed. I cleaned my windows and peeled off the backing and worked with the two top corners and a credit card and smoothed it down. If i had an air bubble i lifted it back up and re adhered it. Its really awesome. It sticks VERY well. There is no problem of lifting in the corners even in spots I had to fix and relift several times. It wasnt quite wide enough to cover my entire windows so i had to make a patch section and even that went down with no problem. All you need is a clean dry pane of glass and a credit card to make sure the air bubbles are worked out. This product is way cheaper compared to other ones, you cannot see through it other than shadows yet the light still passes through and the rice paper design is realistic. I have mock shoji screen panels that clip into my window and with this behind it, I feel like Im in japan. Will definately be re ordering this for any other windows I need privacy 'tinted'

I had no problem applying the window film by following the directions. The film does give privacy and provides nice filtered light.

Not a true looking piece of rice paper. Adheres fine, but make sure you have the equipment to smooth it to your surface.

Very glad we found this product. We replaced the aluminum foil that we used as a quick fix before finishing the remodel and the rice paper opened it up and changed the entire look of the room. Now to finish the remodel!

This used to be the best rice paper look-alike film I could find. This is my third time ordering it in about as many years. The previous orders like rice paper with the "grain" of the paper looking reasonably authentic. Now it's still labeled "rice paper" but pattern looks like an imprint from leather. Sort of like a the skin of a football. Not what I wanted. It still sticks well, is easy to apply and lets just the right amount of light through for me.

This made a huge different in how much our dogs bark at all the imaginary threats lurking outside the windows. A bit of a pain to install but completely worth it!

Good product. I used this for my bedroom window and it provides total privacy - there is no way anyone can see in. The rice paper texture looks nice; it almost looks like frost on the window. It's been up for several months now and its stuck on the window well.... it won't be peeling off without some effort. This was much cheaper than a similar product sold in my local big box hardware store. Follow the instructions and take your time when putting it up. Using a spray bottle with mildly soapy water makes all the difference in the world when installing (one or two drops of dish soap is enough). Keep the film and window damp, and you can slide the film around the window and reapply it until you get it right. Don't rush this and it will turn out well.

Gave it a year to make sure the review could be accurate when it comes to quality and yes, I recommend it, it gives the windows a nice looking view plus guaranteed privacy. I live in an apartment that is facing a very busy avenue, people walk meters away from my apartment and I hate when they snoop in (natural reflex when you see a window with shades or open curtains I guess) but can’t live in the dark neither so this was a great idea, lots of light during the day and you could basically just see shadows from outside. Insulation is easy because it’s like a mac tac product, I used a gif card to remove air bubbles and it doesn’t rip if you remove the entire thing and re apply it if you messed up the angle or anything. Super recommended!

I bought these to cover the bottom part of my window because my dogs go nuts whenever they see people outside. It was super easy to install: -Wash window/glass (I used Windex and then sprayed again with water and wiped away any residue) -Measure and cut window film to size -Spray window/glass with water (you don't have to do this, it is super sticky and will stick without but having sprayed the water makes it wayyyyyy easier to get out air bubbles - also this is really easy to stick on and then pick up again to readjust if you need) -Peel some of the backing off and place on window/ glass in corner and work toward opposite end -Use a credit card (or gift card) or something similar to, to help smooth out air bubbles. That's it!

I bought this to use on a side window at my front entrance. Easy to apply, stays on well even through freezing weather, and keeps spying eyes from seeing what's going on when you're not around.

Very subtle, but really good privacy. I just wish the rolls were wider. I was able to reposition it as I was applying it without any trouble.
