Does it have a lock to keep it running w/o me having to hold down the button?** A: Confirming that Maida is correct and Philip is not. While you usually have to keep your finger on the trigger to keep it running, if you pull the lock button all the way back while it's running, it will stay locked. Arguably this is "less safe" - power tools are inherently dangerous any way. This one (supposedly) cuts 3/4" branches, while other "safer" models cut only 1/2" or 5/8". This makes it more likely to accidentally sever a human digit. So it depends on whether you want a safe tool, or one that does the job it's designed to do. **Q: Does this feature a motor brake? IOW -- When you release the trigger, do the blades immediately halt?** A: Have no idea if this is a motor brake, but the blades immediately stop when the trigger is released. **Q: AMp?** A: This model has a 3.3 Amp motor. **Q: how ling is the warrenty** A: The below info was taken from the Black & Decker website:2 Year WarrantyBlack & Decker (U.S.) Inc. warrants this product for two (2) years against any defects in material or workmanship.
