I have to spend a lot of time in bed because of debilitating chronic pain and it’s been difficult for me to reach the switch on my large bedside lamp. Sounds like a small problem but when you’re in pain, little things like that become much bigger issues. So I’m thrilled that I took a chance on this push button switch! It was well packaged, and the quality of the switch and the fabric covered cord feels like something from a high end lighting store. The push button itself has a thin piece of silicone on the bottom to ensure it doesn’t slide around or damage a table top (with a keyhole style opening for wall mounting, if desired). Because it’s so well made, pressing the switch button is the most satisfying feeling— my family members enjoy just waking over and pressing the button. Sounds weird, but you’ll probably enjoy it, too! I’m now trying to think of other places I could use a push button switch! So cool! Pressing the button does make the a tiny little “click” sound, but it’s actually quieter than turning the switch on a standard tabletop lamp, so it’s nothing to be concerned about. It shouldn’t cause anyone else in the room to wake up, if that’s a concern. Because the surface area of my nightstand is valuable real estate, so to speak, I decided to mount the push button on the side of my nightstand using a medium Command adhesive strip on the back of the push button and a few Command clear cord clips to keep the cord nice and neat (see photo). Because the switch is mounted on the side, you can’t see it unless you’re looking for it. And it’s easier for me to reach, so it was worth spending 5 minutes to “install” it with removable adhesive. If you decide to use an adhesive to mount your push button, just remember that NOTHING will stick to silicone so you’ll need to peel off that little silicone pad from the back of the push button first, then clean the surface with rubbing alcohol. I saved the silicone pad in case I ever decide to use the switch in a different location (I just put some blue painter’s tape on the sticky side of the pad and tucked it away in the drawer). I’m laughing at myself for spending time writing a review for something so insignificant, but sometimes it’s little things like this that can make our lives better. I paid full price for this on Amazon, and have not received any discount or consideration for writing this review. I find reviews to be helpful, so that’s why I take the time to share my experiences with others in return. I’ll update my review if anything changes (I rated this 5 stars for durability since it’s so well made that I’ll be shocked if it doesn’t last), but so far I would say this is the best thing I’ve bought on Amazon in a while!

I think this looks great and works nicely. Unfortunately, 1 of 2 stopped working after a couple of days. I was able to return it and get it replaced. I sure hope it works this time. I don't use it every day, so I'm not really testing how good it it. I do like the look and feel for my needs.

This device is easy to set up and use. The cord is the perfect length, allowing me to place it right beside my bed. It’s so compact that it won’t take up too much space on my bedside table. The setup process was incredibly simple, and it’s been working flawlessly ever since I first tried it.

Just bought these, but so far I really like them. Good for things that don't have an on/off switch, or have a switch that isn't easily accessible. Have them on our rice cooker and Christmas tree; also on some things plugged into outlets that are difficult to reach. I could see these being really good for lamps.

I bought these plugs to control my indoor Christmas lights. No matter how, or where, I plugged them in, they did not work. I tried other appliances and they worked fine. I can only guess the Christmas lights have a low voltage plug that is not compatible.

I got this because I was frequently power-cycling my modem that was high on a shelf, and I was tired of climbing a ladder. It worked like it was supposed to. Has a groove on the back to hang it from a nail in the wall.

I got some hanging lamps to go over our bedside table that plug in. The inline plugs are never in a good location for this kind of setup, so I grabbed two of these. They're very convenient and small enough to put on the top of the nightstand. You can also mount them vertically on a wall or the side of a nightstand with a screw or double sided tape. Good quality cord and the outlet adapter is perfect. I've only seen one other brand of these (Phillips) but these came in a 2-pack and fit the need exactly as they should. A+
