For a lower cost filter cutter it does what it suppose to do. Only complaint is the cutting wheel is not designed to be replaceable if ever needed, but can be done if you're familiar working with tools and fabrication. Ive see cutters as much as $200, all the same general designed. Gradually increase the pressure of the cutting wheel while rotating the filter and you will get a nice clean cut. Works just like a pipe or tubing cutter.

This cutter is fantastic and heavy duty. I work on cars and trucks and needed a cutter for all size filters. Look at the picture, I am over 6'2" and my hands are huge. Look at the size of it in my hand. This does everything I need and more, I am impressed with the quality.

This is similar to a unit have used in the past. Not sure why they made it so difficult to replace the cutting blade. A slight redesign of the tool would allow for the blade to be removed without disassembling the entire tool.

Gives a nice clean cut with minimal effort. Well made and nice feel. I’m quite satisfied with my purchase.

I have opened a couple of automotive oil filters with it, and it works well.

Works great, I cut a lot of oil filter with ease, I did cut a few hydraulic filters with it and probably tightened it too much too fast and broke the wheel, but the company stood behind the product and helped me out with a replacement. Would buy again, great customer service is hard to come by on here sometimes but these guys still have it!

Definitely opens filters decently well. Pics are the wear on the opener after opening 2 filters. Definitely not worth the cost they’re asking for it but so far so good.

Haven’t had a chance to use this yet, maybe next week, but have used one like it and they work great when separating filter can from filter medium to inspect for debris. This is a good buy.
