Replacement Ear Pads Compatible with DT770, DT880, DT990, DT 770 PRO, DT 880 PRO, DT 990 PRO Headphones (Black)

Several people have mentioned some loss of treble with these pads. I have also noticed that when I replace old pads with new Berydynamic pads. I believe that comes from a change in surface hardness between old, stiff, dried up pads and new more supple ones, rather than from some inherent defect in these pads. I've been using this latest set around 8 hours a day for 3 months. There are no rips, tears, bald spots, smoothed out areas, or any visible degradation at all. They look and feel like new. Adhered bits of pizza debris come off easily with a little fingernail work. The feel is slightly different than the Berydynamic pads, but very comfortable and I really have no preference for one or the other. I was able to comfortably wear them for several hours on my first use. They were easy to install with just the right amount of stretch to stay tightly in place, no installation struggling was required. I can't really say if the treble issue has changed in that time, but having gotten used to them I now like the sound very much and have no issues with using them both for everyday listening and critical mixing.

Very comfortable fit and easy to install. I did notice some changes to the sound frequency, but nothing that bothers me as expected due to the new material. Noise isolation is still good and for the purpose of my earphones, they work exactly as expected.

It's cheap and super comfort. I can't get the OEM earpads to seal properly, even my DT 177X earpads too, I had to use Dekoni earpads for it. This one is cheaper option provide ALOT of cushion on your ears, like those puffy pillows but on your ears. My ears never touch the drivers after the replaced. Very good seal over the OEM, I got bit more of bass by using this, not boomy bass, DEEP BASS. The highs rolled over like -2 or -3 db, and soundstage stay the same. If you find the highs on DT 770 too much, or need more bass, or need to good seal, I would recommend this earpads!

I purchased these to replaced my old worn out grey ear pads that were the original beyer dynamic ones. I will come right out and say it... there is an audio quality loss if you're a die hard audiophile. These did increase the bass that is audible. The original Beyer Dynamics pads have holes in the backing pad and these do no. These replacement pads do also have a very thin layer that is built in but you can cut it out if your original inserts are still in good shape. I personally opted to install them complete without cutting that thin layer. Now install was legitimately a pain in the butt, for fear of tearing these I actually asked my wife to perform the install since I tend to manhandle things when I get frustrated. The fit overall is nice while not as uniform as the originals but these do fit snug and don't feel loose in any way. Comfort wise these are extremely comfy and I don't have fatigue after several hours of consistent use. While they're not the high grade velour that come oem they are very decent replacement. If I had to compare them I would say they similar but better than the ear pads on Astro A40 / A50 headsets. After installing I did find myself turning up my audio more than usual since there was some audio quality loss after installing these. Bass is significantly more noticeable while the highs / mids which can typically be very sharp are muted now with these pads. My headphone amp is a monolith liquid spark and with the oem's I would keep the dial at 12-1 oclock position on high gain, after these installed i'm having to put to 3-4 oclock position while also turning up audio at the source level as well. I use these for gaming and am not a die hard audiophile but in terms of comfort these were worth the price alone. If you are worried about audio quality degradation get the official Beyer Dynamic ear pads.

Finally decided to replace the ear pads on my Sennheiser headphones. When I took off the old I realized I should have done this way sooner. Gross! I produce music in my home studio and wear these particular headphones continuously for long periods of time. As such I need them to not only function properly but also be comfortable and not overheat. These pads work flawlessly. Very happy with the product. The pads are a bit thicker than the originals but I did find this affected the fit or sound in any way. Installing them onto the headphones is a bit finicky but that's a feature of the original product design and should not be considered a negative for these replacements.

Out of the box, they felt plastic, looks fantastic, even installed onto my headphones far easier than the stock ear pads. I put the headphones on and the first thing I noticed was how incredibly comfortable these ear pads are, they are probably the most comfortable ear pads I've ever had on any headphones. I wish the review for these pads could continue to be so glowing, but I do have to be straightforward and honest and say that the second thing I noticed is how they block out quite literally zero sound from the surrounding environment. I came from pleather dt770 pro pads, and they block out quite a bit more sound than the stock valuer ones, so I can't say if they match the original sound isolation of the velure pads, or if they isolate less. Can say is that in a quiet room they isolate so little sound that I can actually hear myself breathing, for the leather on my chair creaking as I shift my leg. The sound isolation is completely subjective, and some people may prefer them performing quite similarly to open back headphones in this nature, however the one thing I don't think is very subjective is how bad these ear pads affected the sound quality on my headphones. Walking the highs are very very tinny and thin, maids just kind of sound flat and uninspired, and the single biggest hit was the base response, it just sounds muddy, flat, bad honestly. would absolutely love to keep these ear pads just because of how comfortable they are, but they truly do compromise all aspects of the sounds of these headphones, at least to my ears

Super soft. Kind of difficult to get the pads onto the headphones, but that's because of the design of the headphones, not the pads.

I'm a musician and home producer with a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones. I frequently use my headphones for playing guitar, bass, and keyboard, as well as music production and general music listening. The DT770's are legendary headphones in the business, but one downside are the ear pads. They turn pretty funky after a while. I've been using a leather off-brand set for the past few years that's starting to fall apart. I wanted to switch back to something similar to the gray felt material that the headphones originally came with. I went on Amazon to look for a new pair. Original replacement pads from Beyerdynamic run $35+. I have no beef with buying some second-hand ear pads if they are of similar quality to the originals to save a few bucks. Well, these ones are not. These headphone ear pads came packaged nicely in a press and seal bag. They're very clean, but I had a very difficult time installing them, as they are not similar to the original Beyerdynamic earpads. Once I got them on, they were very comfortable. Then things went really down hill! I tried these ear pads out for a few hours playing guitar and listening to music. They sound absolutely awful! They turned my $200+ Beyerdynamic headphones into a crappy pair of dollar store ear buds. The bass is non-existent, the highs are too high. The headphones just did not sound correct at all. The more I used them, the more I hated them. I have a *very* attuned ear to high quality musical instruments and gear. Especially with headphones, I've owned tons of name-brand headphones in the past, including Sony and Sennheiser headphones. And all I can say is, these ear pads sound like garbage. I'm sorry to the store/manufacturer of these ear pads. I never wanna rip on a business. And, I read some of the bad reviews beforehand, but I thought I'd give these an honest shot, because I had had success with off-brand ear pads before. Well now all I can say is, stay away from these. I agree with some of the other reviewers, that the depth of these headphones is off, and they let some frequencies bleed out. I feel like I wasted time buying and installing these, as well as wasted time writing this review, but I want to help others. I'm not sure why you would bother even making ear pads if they're not gonna perform decently, you're just wasting peoples time and money.

I have had my DT770 pro for years and they had the leatherette cushions. I got these as my current ones got old and brittle. I have replaced with these and you have to invert the little hoop and then unfold it around the headphone which is the easiest way to install. It's difficult but so are the OEM ones. To be honest I did not find the audio change too much. Yes it did not sound the same but still great! When you put them on though, Oooh man it's like having two soft pillows or puppies on your ears. They are so soft and comfortable. I can see how for some it might be too hot but the comfort is amazing! Love these replacement ear pads!

Tenia altas expectativas por su precio y reviews pero termine decepcionado. A pesar de que no fueron realmente baratas (compre otras de otra marca para otros audifonos) el material se siente barato, no se siente que vayan a durar y lo peor, no son muy cómodas qué digamos... Hubiera preferido gastar mas por algo de mejor calidad
