Love This Shoe!!
I have several pairs of Merrell shoes. The Chameleon 3, 2 pairs of Trail Gloves, Road Glove, and now the Road Glove 3. I switched to the minimalist style running about 1 1/2 years ago starting with the Trail Gloves. The best thing that has ever happened to my running. No more shine, knee or hip/back problems ever since the changing of my form. The original Road Glove looked a little funky and not like your typical running shoe, but I wanted to run the roads and stay in the minimalist shoe arena for it. Since the Trail Glove worked out so great I chose the Road Glove. As most reviews and other minimalist runners have pointed out the Road Glove is stiffer and does have an arch as compared to the Trail Glove. Although the Road Glove 3 still contains the arch it is not as prominent as the originals. I have only put about 20 miles on these shoes but the differences are notable.First off the fit is tighter in the heel while wider in the toe box. I know that many complain about the toe box being tighter in other models; it is considerable wider than the originals and the Trail Gloves, but still fits snugly on my narrow feet. It hugs my heel and snug and firm up against my arch and then opening up around the toes. No complaints yet.Second, from the original that now feel like solid and stiff sole from heel to toe, these actually feel firm yet not restrictive to the foots natural flexion. Right between the original Road Glove and the Trail Glove. You do feel real close to the ground which is great while still feeling the occasional loose gravel underfoot. One thing I do really appreciate is the added plantarflexion channel/groove in the sole (if anyone knows the proper term for it please let me know). I recently found out that I supinate causing plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I have been steadily correcting my form to a more neutral landing so maybe I am sensitive to how my foot is moving. I can feel how this groove guides my foot through the stride to help push off with my big toe. I cannot tell you how much this make me feel more confident that I am landing neutral and pushing off with correctly. Plantar Fasciitis sucks!!No problems with hot spots. I do not run with socks, no problems with blisters. I wait for the 100 mile mark to update any info. unless something comes up before that.

These shoe sare awesome!
I started wearing minimal shoes for everyday wear as well as running. I had previously been wearing a different brand, and decided to give these a try because of the zero drop from heel to toe. Although some of the reviews weren't completely positive, there were a lot of people raving about various aspects of this shoe. When they arrived, they were packaged quite well -- instead of wadded up tissue paper in the toes, there was a heavy paperboard form that maintained the shoe shape during shipping which I hadn't seen before. The appearance and the build quality of these shoes was basically perfect. Just looking at them, you can tell they are excellent from that standpoint. That's great and all, but what really matters is when you put them on, right? Well, they were immediately comfortable. I have pretty much average-sized feet at US 11 (medium width). Some of the criticism that I read was that the toe box was too narrow and tight, but there is plenty of room. The previous brand I was wearing was actually snug and took a good break-in period to loosen up, but these feel fantastic right away.I've had these shoes for about a week now, and they are awesome. The fabric is very breathable, and my feet feel great in them all day long. I haven't done much running in them, but for the little bit that I have run in them, they are very well suited for that, too. The lacing holds them in place really well, and the toe box leaves you feeling very unrestricted. The only possible area for concern might be that they are slightly loose on my heel. I don't know if moving down a half-size would fix that or not.All in all, though, I would say that these are probably the best shoes that I've owned.

My marathon shoes
These are my favorite running shoes yet. It's a bit surprising to me that Merrell is making a better road running shoe these days than the more traditional running brands -- but they are in my opinion. I'm a marathon runner (I've completed six), I'm a mid-foot striker (convert), and I made the transition to zero-drop shoes by way of the Saucony Kinvaras . . . and I'm so glad to be rid of that (relatively stiff) shoe and into this one. These bare access shoes are so light and unobtrusive I forget I'm wearing them. I do think the barefoot movement is right about a lot of things, including the fact that we humans evolved walking and running barefoot -- and we're much better off if we allow our feet to operate like mother nature designed them to operate. But we did not evolve running on asphalt and concrete. So, in my opinion, these shoes are a great compromise for road runners because they have good cushion, while providing a roomy toe box for natural toe splay and plenty of room and flexibility so your arches can flex and act as the natural shock absorbers they are. Note on the cushion: it's not squishy or springy like you might get with asics shoes, it's much more firm, which I personally prefer. Kudos to Merrell for looking at the latest science and designing these shoes.

Excellent minimalist design
I run (road and trails) in zero-drop shoes. I actually use the Bare Access 3 on road runs because it has an additional 5mm of padding (and asphalt is hardly a "natural" surface for humans to run on), but I use the Road Glove 3 as my everyday shoes. The soles are very thin, flexible, and minimally padded, so I feel like my feet are getting a good workout through the course of my regular daily activities. The toe box is wide enough to let my toes spread some. Between the nice width of the Road Gloves and the extra width of the Altras I use for trail runs, I'd never consider going back to a normal/too narrow "regular" shaped shoe. These are as comfortable as bedroom slippers (but much more durable, obviously) and don't look freaky like some of the odd-colored shoes on the market now. I researched for weeks and ordered/returned at least 7 other shoes before deciding this was the one.

Minimalist shoe for for Road Runners
I am a regular half marathoner and take a long time when buying shoes, especially for running. Tried a pair of merrell's at Sports XS store and i was so impressed that i ordered a pair. Impressive performance shoe, very light, breathes well. i wear size 9 and ordered 9.5 to allow for swelling in feet when doing the longer runs. But this pair gets a little uncomfortable when I run more than 2-3 km.Also note that this a minimalist 'zero drop shoe' which means that the sole thickness at your toe and heel is same. if you have been using normal running shoes, you will have to take some transition time before using these for a longer runs. This is one reason why some other buyers may complain of pain with these shoes. Though it is believed by more and more running enthusiasts that zero drop shoes imitate the natural running style and help avoiding most runner injuries once you transition to this form.My next running shoe will definitely be a Merrell, though this time it would be size 10 or 10.5 :) Despite the size issue, i am hoping these would last more than my other pairs as this pair is designed for road running and that's where i get to train.I am rating 4 star because of the seller's inability to note correct name of the shoe. Like this shoe is 'Merrell Road Glove 3' identified by seller as "Blue and Lime running shoe". This makes it difficult for buyers to look for reviews. Also the technical details like 'heel to toe drop' are missing.

My first MerrelL shoes
The fitting is amazing. Shoes are very very light. I am using it for running on treadmills and I am not feeling any kind of pain even after 45 mins of intense training. Color of shoes is awesome. Instead of going for the usual adidas, puma, I went for this one after receiving rave reviews about this product. It can be easily used for running a marathon.
