SCANPAN SC68000200 Pro IQ Set of Two Frying Pans 24 and 28 cm, Plastic, Black

This is a great pan. Completely non stick which is obviously what you want for an omelet pan. Makes the smoothest omelets you have ever seen which takes a little getting used to!

Best pan we've ever used. Make sure you follow the care instructions carefully, we had one where the middle started becoming sticky due to us not following the cleaning instructions carefully.

Excellent frying pan for our induction hob. Cooks scrambled eggs perfectly, no sticking, now used for 5 weeks, daily use.

I originally thought this was amazing, one year on it has lost its non-stick capability, everything sticks. For the price I would expect more than one year. I’ve tried cleaning with baking soda as they recommend, it doesn’t work.

I had high hopes for this pan, given other reviews, but have now returned it as faulty, because within a week or so a part of the outer non-stick coating had fallen off, literally flaking off on to the towel as it was dried off. There were other issues. Throughout its short life it was treated with great care, always being hand washed and always used with plastic implements, not metal ones, but micro-scratches were already starting to be visible on the internal surface. The final issue was that on our induction hob the heat was not distributed evenly and the outer 2-3 centimetres of the pan surface (the part not directly over the central steel part of the pan) was noticeably cooler than the centre of the pan. On the positive side, the non-stick characteristics of the pan were excellent (although given the early scratching I don't know for how long that would remain the case) and given the generally excellent reviews of Scanpan both here and in the national press, I can only assume that these are teething troubles with the new IQ range, but I thought them serious enough that I asked for a refund rather than a replacement.

this is supposed to last a lifetime as a non-stick frying pan and already after 16 months is unfit for purpose. was never placed within a dishwasher, always washed with just warm water or wiped out.

On the picture you can see the pan after less than a year of usage. Coating is peeled and probably eaten as well. Do not rcommend to go for it.

Very good pan although expensive. Durability unk at this point but it's solidly built. Well packed for shipping and no production defects. Just the right size for most tasks. Heats quickly and evenly. Very easy to clean the inside of the pan. I don't understand why the outside bottom of the pan is textured w the tiny ridges. It's impossible to clean once cooking or burner debris gets in there. I would take 1/2 star away just for that.

We recently visited my daughter and her .... well fiancee would be a stretch, so let's leave it at ... boyfriend in Norway. We stayed for a week Since I am the chef in the family (though, she's a a close second), out of the blue she asked me to make chicken enchiladas, a dish she had loved as a kid. After getting what I could from the local food market that was equivalent to Mexican ingredients (i.e. "unsweetened yogurt" instead of sour cream, and tortillas? ... well, let's just pass on those), we set to work. They had a pair of these pans that were provided as a housewarming gift and having heard of them, I wanted to give it a try. They were amazing! They did not stick, the ingredients just swirled and combined effortlessly, and the cleanup was a breeze. So when I returned to the US, it was one of my first purchases (I am not even sure if I was off the plane before I hit 'Add to Cart'. And we have been in happy concert since. My existing (and excellent) stainless steel pans aside, when I need a go-to, these are them.

Been using daily for almost 6 months now and still as good as new. Seems like this will be a non-sick pan that will last for years rather than having to replace so often. It's a bit more pricey that the average non-stick pan but on the long run it will be cheaper as it lasts longer.
