Handle can stick but, otherwise does its job
Was great after abdominal surgery. Have to lubricate with Vaseline to keep the handles from sticking together.

Not just for the bathroom anymore!
I have purchased 3 of these. One for the upstairs and one for the downstairs bathroom. I have bidets on both toilets, this combo makes using the toilet much easier after multiple surgeries. They are sturdy and the rubber coating provides extra grip. When I travel I have a bag with a bag with one of these and a bidet bottle, another great purchase. These fit great in my back pocket. The curved shape kinda conforms to my butt so it doesn’t stick out too much. I carry one around the house to use as a grabber to pick things up off the floor. I just can’t seam to reach the last 6 inches to the floor. Time to buy another!

I'm thankful for these!
Unfortunately, I needed these. I had a spinal fusion done and was restricted (and unable) to bend/reach after the surgery. I was unable to wipe and properly clean myself after number 1 and 2. Having these helped me keep my dignity and not have a 25 year old nurse, which is technically young enough to be my child, come in to wipe my brass. (minus the br) I can't tell you how many people wiped my hoo-ha during those few days before I had these tongs. I hated it. But these do the job just fine. They also work well to hold a washcloth in the shower. I would lather up the cloth with body wash and wrap it around the tongs, tucking the washcloth underneath. I was able to successfully scrub my cooter and fart box this way. I wish they would sell them slightly longer but these work just fine.

Perfect Assistance for Putting on Short Socks (Buy 2 of Them)
I had been looking for something to assist with putting on short ankle socks. The sock assistor I had was the large one that is great for sport or knee socks, but would not work on my ankle socks. Since these tongs have soft rubber ends, I thought they might help.....so, I took a chance and bought two of them. They are easy to use and the grip was strong enough to hold my sock in place as I put my foot into the sock. No one had mentioned using for sock assist (I asked), so I wanted to make sure my review showed it MOST CERTAINLY HELPED me with my socks. I am beyond thrilled with this find.

Useful once mastered
Lost the use of right hand. Hospital gave me one of these. It works better than some other devices. Better made too. It allows you to do that most important function. Not perfectly. Not easily. But it works. No more sitting on the toilet until someone comes home. Or using pullups...😱 Bought extra ones to place into multiple bathrooms. Cheap enough. Get the longer handles

Break too easy.
Following major spinal reconstructive surgery, I will need tools like this for ever. This product is exactly like the one that I brought home from rehab. Unfortunately they are not very durable. The rivet holding them together is very loose. Then the tongs end up breaking near the flat spot where they are joined together. Functionally they work great. They just aren't durable.

This is a solution that WORKS.
THIS WORKS! I have a partially paralyzed let and hip, I have to reach in from the front. I wanted something that would let me use a firm enough touch to get sticky stuff off. I usually use about 6 sheets, wrap around the slightly opened tongs and then tuck in and pinch the tongs closed. The toilet paper doesn't shift and it works very well. I even use them in the shower with a microfiber wash cloth. It's important to know that the hinge is stiff enough that shifting your grip won't interfere with the hold. You have to open it on purpose. This works with: toilet paper wet wipes washcloth in the shower (a bonus)

Great for those with back problems or after back surgery
Much better than other wand types. Have long and shorter version. Hi

My wife recently had hip surgery. Here are her review comments … I am totally amazed at how this product worked for both bathing and toilet cleaning of private areas. It held a washcloth firmly while in the shower and allowed me to clean from front and back easily. Also, it held toilet paper while cleaning, and dropped easily into the toilet when finished. Although this is not a ‘pretty, feminine’ item, it is totally functional and helpful. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is unable to bend or twist.

With arthritis it is sometimes difficult to twist yourself or your hands behind your back. These tongs are a lifesaver and keep things nice and cleans. Sturdy and will last a long time.

bought for my hubby and he said it works well.

These tongs are so easy to use while I suffered a severely broken humorous that took years and surgery to repair. The arm doesn’t work as great even after physio so the option to use these tongs which are easy to clean and last a very long time has been a real lifesaver.
