It should. It has 2" pipe threads. The thread size for the hole on a USGI, or Blitz, or MFC, or standard 15 gallon drum, or standard 30 gallon drum, or standard 55 gallon drum is 2" NPT. 2" pipe is designated by the nominal inside deminsions of the pipe which would make the opening diameter of the can a little less than 2.5"

Will this fit on the old Usmc gas can

I put it on an army surplus Jerry can and it is great. A whole lot less spillage than before.
