I knew I needed something with some weight to it and I also wanted a ball knob. So when I saw this shift knob that looked great and weighed a healthy 6.1 ounces, I decided to get it. NOTE: THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY FOR THE 96-00 CIVIC--it's 10x1.25 thread instead of 10x1.5 and is really for a 2006 or newer Civic. I was able to get it to fit securely on the very end of the arm but it did not screw all the way on: it worked surprisingly well for me this way and made the throw just right. It worked for my older Civic, but that was more luck than anything else. This should, however, work perfectly for a 2006 or newer Civic. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works on Mazda 2s too *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2013* My son has a new Mazda 2, but he hated the shifter knob.
