. . . but that's because stainless steel is not supposed to be magnetic. Stainless steel is not steel per se. It is a very mildly ferrous material. It's unfortunate that they have slammed the product just because they don't know that they are talking about. Besides in the ad copy it correctly indicates the material is austenitic stainless steel and neither magnetic nor aluminum. The parts are well made, and work well. They are good value for the money. Although I have an appropriate tool for inserting these I'm not likely to use it except for setting it up for big runs. Instead, I'll use the nut and bolt method with my torque wrench. This will allow me to precisely set them making them tight without stripping them. If I need to install a lot I take the time to adjust my setting tool correctly on a scrap piece of metal. Without doing that it is easy to strip threads.

Using these for a camper van build, work great.

I was afraid that being stainless steel that these rivet nuts would be difficult to expand; they were not. They worked perfectly. I like the they are sold in smaller quantities, I needed about 20 and glad I don’t have a ton extra sitting around and probably never use. All were perfectly formed and threaded. I recommend and would buy again if ever needed.

Used a bunch of these M5 rivet nuts when building out my camper van and every single one set cleanly with no stripped threads. Stainless was the right call for a build that sees all kinds of weather and moisture. Good quality hardware and the quantity in the pack is generous for the price.

I liked the tool and the rivet nuts but was highly disappointed that it didn't come with a carrying case , there are a lot of pieces to it even without all the rivet nuts and the cardboard carton that it comes shipped in is jam packed with parts and pieces and the second or third time you use it the box gets so tattered that it's useless they don't offer a case for it and I've tryed to buy a carrying case ffg or it but no one has or sells acase that big . Amazon you need to re think this one if you're going to sell it , offer a case for it please . As I said before it's a great tool but needs a case for storage and transport and if you happen to find one please notify me so I can purchase one for me and one for my friend .

These fittings are durable, good quality stainless steel, just as described. Came packed well, arrived on time in brand new condition. They’ll work perfectly for my project and any others in the future. Hefty little bag too :)
