Boyt Harness Ultimate Sportsman's Duffel

Editing review after 6 years: I have added a star because the zipper I originally thought was weak has held up fine after many years, lots of over-stuffing, and literally hundreds of trips all over the world. I would buy this bag again, except I don't need to because this one is like-new. This is a great bag. Perfect size for a long weekend. Very similar in quality and style to Orvis's Battenkill range, but less than half the price.I have an older Boyt canvas bag that is at least 10 years old and looks new; I expect the same longevity from this bag. I would give this bag 5 stars if it had a slightly more substantial zipper (this bag's zipper is plastic and seems less durable than the heavy metal zipper in my older Boyt bag.) and if the external pockets were gusseted so they would hold bigger items.

Awesome! Just like all the other products Boyt makes like their pistol cases, rifles cases and now I need a bag and looked at Boyt bags here and sure enough they have some. Different sizes as well. This model is perfect for 3 day trips, carry on for air travel etc. I will get the larger36 in size very soon.

Gift for my son who travels for his company. So far I believe he is pleased.

This is a good-looking, nice duffel bag. I bought it for my husband but I used it when I went on a trip and it was great! Carries everything, has enough pockets, and it's really well-made. I was able to fit my clothes for a 5-day trip, a PILLOW, a jacket, my hair dryer, and some books without stressing the zipper or seams at all. And it's built in such a way that it didn't throw me off balance when walking. (I'm 5'5" 135 lbs)

This is not a carry-on satchel, it is a bit larger. More of a long weekend bag with plenty of room for bulky clothes and an extra pair of shoes. For a bird hunting trip, there is room for snake boots, brush busters, vest and extra shells and a change of clothes. I cut a thin foam camping pad to line the sides and bottom for cushioning inasmuch as I usually pack a camera and binoculars for most trips.

The first day a button fell off. I attempted to obtain a replacement but the return shipping charges were ridiculously expensive so I made the mistake of keeping the duffel. What a big mistake. Since then another button has fallen off and the threads have unraveled. This is quality material with very poor workmanship.

Boyt (and Amazon) always delivers! Very happy with my purchase.
