Must have!
The Case Blue Bone Trapper Pocket Knife is an absolute gem! From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed by the craftsmanship and attention to detail. The blue bone handle has a beautiful, deep color with subtle variations that make each knife unique. It feels solid and comfortable in hand, making it a joy to carry around daily. The stainless steel blades are razor-sharp right out of the box, and they hold an edge impressively well. Whether you're using it for everyday tasks like opening packages or more demanding jobs like cutting rope, this knife performs effortlessly. The smooth opening and closing of the blades are also a testament to Case’s commitment to quality. The Trapper design is a classic, and the two-blade setup offers versatility for a variety of cutting needs. Plus, it’s compact and lightweight enough to fit in your pocket, making it an excellent choice for everyday carry (EDC). As a collector, I also appreciate that this knife has the Case logo stamped on it, which adds to its value. It's a knife that looks great and feels great to use. If you're looking for a high-quality pocket knife that combines traditional charm with modern performance, the Case Blue Bone Trapper is an excellent choice. You can’t go wrong with Case’s legendary craftsmanship. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous Knife
The color of this knife is gorgeous. The picture doesn’t do it justice. Very vibrant turquoise blue. Knife is well made and just the right size. The blades are easy to open and close. Great knife and good price

Blue Dye Nice And Dark. Sharp All along The Edges Including The Points . Not The Norm For Case .
The short review : Out of nearly six hundred knives in my collection , all of them users that I carry at one time or another , some of them ~ $600 each , the Case brand Trapper fits my hand the best and every time I pick one up and use it it is like coming home . Not super steel in the blade but one of the very best , most practical , knife styles ever made ! Buy it ! The long review with all the whys and wherefores : Just when I have finally , after years of optimism , resigned myself to a level of attention to detail by Case that is less than it could be . . . This latest Case Trapper is freekin' perfect ! The blue dye in the jigged bone scales is just exactly what I want ! Nice and dark with just the right amount of black / super dark blue in the middle and only the most subtle hints at the edges showing the original white bone . (I have another exact same model and color that I bought seven years ago that is just too lightly dyed with too much white bone ). And the Blades ! Not in over a decade have I received a Case Trapper with blades sharpened this well . Even sharpness all along the edges ; no bur rolling or dings . . . and ! And ! . . . the points of the blades are sharp (not dull and rounded over as was the old de rigueur ). Edge sharpness from the factory has never been a big deal to me ; I put my own more extreme edge on any knife I buy in the first days of ownership anyway but it is knice to see Case getting on top of this chronic problem , for the general public . Learn to sharpen in any case is my advice . The grinding / polishing of the scales and bolsters and coloring are nicely even and symmetrical ! ! ! I've died and gone to heaven here ! You may think me over effusive but you haven't seen the horrors that I have seen . I am ecstatically happy with my most recent Case purchase ! ! ! May yours be as well done ! PS : that is about fifteen years of consistent, yearly , Case knife purchasing , using and collecting . Over a hundred and some in the collection . Over thirty of this Case Trapper frame style alone .

Heavy, has a nice snap when opened, just a quality knife.
Handle a trapper made in China then handle a Case - there’s no comparison. I see some reviews that say Case’s quality has faltered in recent years but the knife I received is perfect and I couldn’t be happier. I own multiple Case xx knives and give one to each of my children on their 13th birthdays. Case keeps sending me quality knives so I’ll keep buying them. Case’s prices have gone up considerably over the past few years. However, they still make a quality product at a competitive price. I own a number of Case knives and the factory edge is never great (GEC doesn’t put a great edge on their knives either and they charge a lot more for their products), but it’s pretty good. This knife was no exception. Fit and finish of this knife is excellent (as I have come to expect from Case) and if you want to collect quality American made pocket knives as a hobby, Case is the best combination of quality and price. The coloration of the scales typically look brighter in the stock photos than it does in person. That’s true here as well. I love the blue bone scales but they do appear darker on my knife than in the pictures. Not a problem for me, just something to be aware of.

Had to fix some issues, but gorgeous covers
So conflicted.. This is such a ridiculously beautiful knife. The covers on mine, I would say, are above average so I definitely got lucky. But at the same time, there is some serious gapping going on. I don't generally complain about gaps; all the knives in my collection are users. But this was a lot. There was also a lot of left/right blade play. It would have gone back except I figured I would not get as nice of covers. So I clamped the head bolster up, which closed up the gapping a enough to make it tolerable and fixed the blade wobble. This, of course, meant sanding down the pin, which you can see in the pic. A visible pin doesn't bother me too much on Case knives because ALL of them will show the pin after a few months no matter what. Of course, there was a burr to remove, what else is new with Case. So I would give it a three for the problems I had to fix, but I got really lucky with the covers, so I give it 4 stars.

Love This Pocket Knife!
LOVE this knife! I carry it with me everywhere I go and can't imagine life without it! Before purchasing this knife, I never carried a pocket knife with me. I decided to purchase this pocket knife because me and my dad started to do more camping and I decided I wanted to carry a knife with me. I've had cheap walmart pocket knifes before...and though some of them really looked nice, none of them were of quality. I've had a couple break on me, and none of them held a sharp edge for long. So I decided to look for a higher end pocket knife. Nothing too crazy (I wasn't willing to spend more then $70), but something of at least decent quality. I quickly found the Case company and really fell in love with the green color of this pocket knife. It's perfect for what I wanted! The 2 blades are great! I love how I have a blade with a sharp point and a knife with a rounded tip. They both come in handy for different things. I use this knife on an almost daily basis. I don't know how I lived life before without having a knife on me! The knife is heavy and it's big and I love that. It feels great in the hand and you can just tell by holding it that it's a quality knife. And it holds a edge very well! I'm just very impressed with this pocket knife and will enjoy it for many years to come. I've since purchased a red handled Case trapper for my dad, as well as a small Case peanut. If I ever need another pocket knife for myself or anyone else, Case will be what I purchase!
