The caddy stays in place and can hold my iPad Pro, a hardcover book, several magazines and other things with no problem at all. I feel its pretty sterdy, it hasnt moved since I stuck it under my mattress. I did how ever flip the velcro side of the flap back so it is velcroed to the top of the mattress and it isnt going anywhere. I have my sociology book that is pretty heavy. A littler book or mr. Rodgers quotes a bottole of pills and in the back section, sometimes I have a bottle water there too. In the next pouch i have my tablet. And the tiny one next to it is a charger. In front of that has 2 small remotes and next to that on is a small mirror my ruber bands and the large remote. The 2 front pockets have velcro between them.
