I wanted a butter dish that was fun and not boring. The whale is cute and there’s plenty of room for a stick of butter. It’s been easy to clean an adds a little bit of whimsy to my kitchen.

Super cute butter dish! I was replacing my old one I got at a boutique store. This one is just a little thinner ceramic so feels less quality. However, if I didn't have them side by side in my hands, I wouldn't know the difference. I say, if you think this is cute, you should buy it. It brings a bit of fun and whimsy to my otherwise serious minimalist kitchen

Y'all, we are absolutely in love with this butter dish! It is so stinky cute and super sturdy. It does hold up to two sticks of butter at a time, but you do have to be careful about how you place them inside. We use vegan butter, so maybe it's smaller than regular butter? I say this because it seems that other people have had issues fitting two sticks inside of the dish. You would think that the butter dish would be hard to clean with all of its nooks and crannies, but it really isn't. There was enough space inside of a tail to get a washrag up there. It's super cute to see a whale sticking out of a bubble bath, in the sink. Adorableness aside, this sturdy gem would make a perfect housewarming gift. We are in love with it!! I loved how it was packaged, so carefully wrapped. It arrived safely, with no chips or scratches on it. You could tell someone really took the extra time and measures to ensure it arriving safely. Even the driver placed it down carefully. The attention to detail is so important, especially when it is so breakable.

If you use wider “French” butter, this is the perfect dish. The whale is adorable too!

This is a very cute item. I gave it three stars for durability and sturdiness because it's ceramic, and bouncing around in a dishwasher or dropping it could mean the end. But it ought to last for a long while if cared for. Some of the reviewers claimed it was a double butter dish, which was exactly what I was trying to replace. The bottom dish part *does* hold a pound of butter (like Kerrygold, etc.), but when I put the cover on, it shaved off the corners of the butter. The dish, indeed, is a rectangle, but the cover is tapered, so you can't cover a new pound/rectangle of butter.

My kids really like the Fox Run Whale Ceramic Butter Dish, it's small but has a nice design and nice color. Ceramic is very easy to clean.

This was a present for a friend, it was really beautiful packed so noting broken.

Die Walfischbutterdose ist aus Keramik, sieht super aus, und nimmt ein Paket Butter auf. Hätte sie gern in Dunkelblau gehabt, Aqua Blau geht aber auch gut zu meiner Küche. Versand klappte schneller als gedacht.
