Instapure F5 Complete Tap Water Filtration System (White with White Cap)

I've owned these filters for many years in several homes, eventually turning to the R5 filter cartridge for better flavor. On this purchase, the new filter was installed and shortly after install, it began to leak. After failing to fix it myself by going back over my install, I contacted Instapure through Amazon. They contacted me immediately and sent a new unit, no questions asked. The new unit was installed and works perfectly, just as I expected. Thanks Instapure!

not worth the time to install, which i may add is hardly worth the time , parts that adapt are weak ,want last, i got two days use, fell off, wouldnot go back on, dont waste your money

I have been using this brand of faucet water filter for over 40 years. I have replaced the unit several times but with another one. The F5 unit will take the cartridge that gives the best filtration available in this unit. I have been complimented on the taste of the water from people who have spring water in their houses. It is well worth the money for the results. I will buy another unit when this one wears out.

This is an inexpensive solution to your water filter problems. It installs easy, and lasts a considerable amount of time. Make sure you get F5 filters for it. It certainly does make a difference in how water tastes.

I bought this item for filtering water for homebrewing. My water is pretty good already (Chicago), so I primarily wanted to get rid of some of the chlorine. But I didn't want to spend a bunch of $$$ on an expensive system for occasional use. The reviews for Instapure models were the best of the bunch compared to other manufacturers. Shipping was unexpectedly poor for Amazon, with just a shipping label slapped on the display box. Although the box was a little battered, the unit was fine an all pieces intact. I attached the unit to a utility sink faucet with male hose threads. This required a quick trip to the hardware store to get the proper adapter, which I expected. It is important to pay attention to the manual, since there are plenty of washers and standard adapters included. Careful assembly equals no leaks. The overall quality of the unit is good, with tight-fitting parts and durable construction. Switching the filter on and off is easy. Slotted fittings means the filter will not spin around on faucet, which I like. Side-by-side tasting of filtered and unfiltered water showed a marked improvement with filtering. Beware that the filtered water comes out considerably slower. Not a big deal for a glass of water, but significant when filling a pot with gallons of water like I did. Probably similar for all filters of this type, just gotta have patience. Rating lost a star due to poor shipping. It may lose more stars if performance of the filter degrades sharply with more usage.

Like the taste, like the look, like the valve handle. The only problem is that a plumber came to my apartment (I'm a tenant) to replace the kitchen faucet, and without asking, changed to a faucet that doesn't take the filter. However he DID take the filter away with the old faucet. I got ripped off and I can't even use a new one.

Breaks up within a few days of installation. The connector to the faucet should have been anything other than plastic. waste of money

The filter works great. However, it doesn't last long. It begins to leak like crazy after a couple of months. The little plastic connector that attaches to the faucet strips out no matter how careful you are and if you move it at all it loosens up and will fall off.

Great innovative filter system that fits directly onto the tap. Comes with several different fittings for different taps. Switchable system for normal tap water or drinking water. Easily replaceable filters. Great drinking water straight from the tap.

My wife and I found this water filter system to be much better than the Britta filter system we had before. The cost is much less per replacement filter too. The water coming out of the filter tastes great too and no chlorine oder/taste.

i have only had this for a couple of months and it is already trash. water is leaking out of both holes at the same time. save your money. the only reason i gave it a star is because i had to to be able to post this review
