Ergodyne Chill-Its 6665 Evaporative Cooling Vest

I have suffered from heat stroke and dehydration. However this vest keeps my core body temp down and I've had no issues. Wetness lasts about 2 1/2 hrs. with 98° temp and riding motorcycle @ 60 mph. Good product.

Just a couple of minutes in water and this vest keeps me cool on the roof. Water does weigh more than air, so once it is wet it is heavier than when dry. The weight is worth the cooling.

I recently purchased this Evaporative cooling vest and I'm really impressed with its performance. The quality is excellent, and it's very easy to use. I've been using it on and off for about a month, and it has consistently met my expectations. One of the standout features is the way it cools you down, while allitle heavy when it is full you can ring some of the water out and make it just perfect. It has made a significant difference in my experience of being out doors or riding my motorcycle, While there are a few areas where it could be improved, overall, I would highly recommend this product to others. The quality is very nice the Zipper works great. It's a great value for the price, and I'm glad I made the purchase. This vest works like it says - by evaporative cooling. This makes it great for any situation where there's a breeze; otherwise it will feel wet and clammy if you're just standing around with no wind. Very effective when riding a motorcycle - it saved me through 6hr of 112 deg heat in the southwest.As for size - I take XL shirts but the XL vest was loose over my t-shirt so I'd say it runs large. I still wear a vented jacket over it which keeps it in contact with my skin and works as designed.Very light weight and comfortable and the price is right for something you are going to wear occasionally.

This did a great job keeping me cool while walking around on vacation in 90+ degrees. However, the next morning I woke up very sore between my shoulder blades and my shoulders. The weight of the wet/damp vest was too much for me.I also wasn't a fan of the bit of sliminess I felt when my hands touched the vest. Thankfully, it didn't leave a film on my shirt!

This vest works well, I'm not experiencing the sliminess others have, it lasts about 3 hrs in temps over 110 degrees.I've used this vest many times now and recommend it.Good quality and a great price.It does make a few damp spots in your shirt but leaves no stains.No more heat exhaustion and that in itself makes it a worthy buy.I wear a XXL shirt but the vest fits perfectly in xl size.Zipper is plastic but of good quality.A metal Zipper would rust over time and rust will cause stains

I live in the desert. Works well. You can re-cool it often.

Florida was 110 F Heat Index most of July and August. This was only reason I could attempt to maintain our 1 acre home (I am retired).The Pros - IT COOLS.Actually was size as described, 3 XL was a USA 3 XLThe Cons - Heavy because it absorbs lots of water at 8 lbs/gal.Drips water and is slimy.Outside use only.The chemicals cause itchiness after using for hours on riding mower.Only lasts an hour or so before you have to re-soak, but better than a wet towel by far.The vest is really short in length for a 3 XL.Would NOT buy again - slime and itchiness.I was a soldier and work in oil field offshore for 9 years so I am use to wet heavy protective gear.
