These worked for what I needed them for but the first time I used them on a hike one of the clips cracked. It would still click and stay closed but it seemed like it would fail later on. That being said this was quite a long hike so something was bound to go wrong.

Do not mate with ordinary Fastex buckles, only others of this size.
This will not mate with ordinary Fastex buckles. I had to install the "extra thick" buckles on both sides. Otherwise OK. If you want the lightest possible buckles, these are not the way to go.
