Zignature overall is great food. My boy loves it and it's one of the few that doesn't give him super stinky dog farts. I've ordere the 27lb bag a couple times now, when I know I won't be able to drive the half hour to the feed supply store. The price has gone up a few dollars over the last year. It used to be $4 more than getting it locally, it's crept up to $10 more. Still great if I don't have a chance to run to the feed store.

When we received this product from Amazon, the bag was sliced wide-open in the box so it was packed that way from the warehouse so we did not use it for our dogs not knowing how long or if it had been exposed to any chemicals or anything from cross-contamination. we did end up purchasing this product from a local pet store and our dogs absolutely love it. It has helped them with their overactive yeast, their ears are clear all the time now their feet are clear, it is a good product. It was unfortunate that we had to throw away the bag we got from Amazon. They did however refund me.

Smells as it should, a nice brand, top quality. Ingredients are on the higher end. 5 star all the way.

My 11/11/2015 review read as follows: Title: Happy to have found a grain free food without sweet potatoes or other sweet vegetables. Review: This seems to be helping with my fur-baby's skin allergies. I'm also using a probiotic; however, I suspect the combination has helped him cease the incessant scratching, eliminate the flaky skin and reduced his body odor. I plan to continue using this. Update as of 03/192016: On 11/11/2015, I gave this product a 5 star rating. At the time, it really seemed to help with my fur-baby's allergies. 4 Months later, his allergies have returned. In addition, the price for this 4lb bag of food went from $7.99 with Prime shipping to $24.91 with Prime Shipping. That kind of price increase is scandalous; however, I might have paid it if the food continued to work. It doesn't. His skin allergies are back with a vengeance so I've changed my product rating to 1 star and switched both my dog food brand and my supplier. I am no longer ordering food from Amazon due to their "bait and switch" price change, product marketing. I'm now purchasing the low ingredient/grain free option called Nature's Recipe Pure Essentials from PetSmart. The quality is good. You can see the dried fruit and vegetables mixed with the hard kibble (lamb and brown rice). I read that dogs with food allergies may need to have the protein base of their food changed every 3-4 months as they will become allergic again because they are used to the food. I switched away from Zignature because of the high price but changed the protein from Salmon/Trout to Lamb because I need to fight against the food allergy. Fortunately, Nature's Recipe seems to have several different protein options so I'll stay with Lamb and Brown Rice for 3 months then switch to Duck for 3 months and possible try Salmon again in another 6 months or so.
