What a useful, and cool product, the people at Evans had taken a tool that is so mundane, that it's given away in most instances, well they made it proper, now you know when to stop, the Evans Torque drum key TELLs you. Accompanied by all of there other mindfully manufactured products, it's great to have in my band... It's indestructible on top of being a highly functional tool, I'm going to use it with my RC cars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great tool if used properly

This tool saves me time and makes it easier and quicker to tune my drums. It will NOT tune your drums for you nor is it in any way a substitute for traditional tuning. What it will do is FACILITATE your tuning efforts. First, and foremost, and this is mandatory. You MUST lubricate your lugs. I use Lug Lube but any lightweight non-graphite oil will work. If you fail to do this then this tool is of less value since any rusty or sticky lugs will have more resistance than others, defeating the purpose of the tool. Second, the tool is NOT precise. It does however get you close very quickly. It makes for a quick starting point. It's precision is much better IMO for higher tension uses than low tension ones. Hence, it does a better job on snares and smaller toms than it does bigger ones. But again, remember its purpose and limitations: it gets you quickly to a near-tuned state, from which you can now spend your time tuning. I use it in concert with a DrumDial. In summary, I like this product and use it nearly every time I tune. If used properly it saves time and pro ides convenience.
