Ultra Gun Jag

Perfect size for my CZ452 - you know, the one with the barrel cut narrow enough that you can’t quite get a .22-caliber jag with patch in there. What I like best is not getting a false positive (that would be a blue-stained patch) if using copper cleaner with this jag.

Word of caution, the Outside Diameter of this Jag is .400 which is average. HOWEVER if you are using Butch's Triple Twill Cleaning Patches @ 2 1/4" which is recommended for .45 Caliber they will not fit, too tight. I forgot about that You will have a choice then.. either buy the 1 1/2" Patches or do the research and buy a smaller jag... one for 40MM, etc That use a .380 Jag I have undersized Patches and I just ordered 500 2 1/4's which also fit my .44 Magnums. I'll keep this one, it's only 6$ and I'll just order one for the 40MM's. Confusing? Not really. <LOLO> It's my fault really, so this jag does merit 5 stars. It seems very well made and looks GREAT. Works perfectly. I have 3 different caliber and they fit snug enough for a good cleaning. Make sure you use the right patch size.

Not sure how to review a .25 cal cleaning jag. It works well for me.

You'll need these is you use a quality Copper Remover like Bore Tech. Brass is an alloy that has copper. Use a brass jag (or brush) and you will get false results from your cleaning. The blue on your patches may be from your brass jag, bronze bristles, or brass wire holding nylon bristles. This coated jag is a necessary part of a copper cleaning regiment. Great fit with cotton patches.

Made well and fit. My cleaning kit did not come with one so I just bought it to complete the set.

The title says it all, the jag is really great. Very sturdy even after multiple uses it’s still in perfect shape. They coat these ultra jags so that your copper solvent doesn’t eat your jag up so it can last even longer which is always nice. I highly recommend using good cotton patches with these, I tried using the blue shop towels cut into patches but unfortunately with the clp on them the jag just rips right through it. Cotton patches work perfectly though.

Fits well on the carbon fibre Tipton rod and given the appropriate cleaning material, does an excellent job . Since this one has a longer "cleaning length" than other brands, there is a greater cleaning area in contact with the bore, so does a better job of cleaning the bore than others I've used.

I found that the Jags for 22lr are a snug fit. This did the job very well. Quick shipping and good product.
