The pictures in this book are stunning and stimulating. The book gives detailed little facts about each animal. This book is a great educational book about animals that are known as predators. Some of the interesting things you will learn in this book include: --> What are piranhas notorious for? --> How tall can a grizzly bear stand? --> What kind of social group do lions live in? --> What is the fifth largest species of cats? --> How do tigers prefer to hunt large prey? --> What animal lives and hunts in packs? --> What speed is a cheetah capable of reaching? --> What does the black mamba get its name from? --> What animal is known as the "king of the jungle?" --> Which animal is known as, "the kings of the river?" --> What is one the most fearsome animals in all Africa? --> What sea animal is sometimes called, "the wolves of the sea?" --> Which animal becomes more dangerous when they are wounded? And there is so much more to learn in this great book. This book would be a great educational book to use in homeschooling younger children to help them learn in a stimulating and easy way. It is also a great educational reference book that would be a good addition to the libraries of younger children. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to purchase this book at a discounted price. I am an individual consumer who has written a review after purchasing this book and I am not affiliated with this company in any way at the time of writing this review. Review: Great book with awesome photos - Great book with a lot of descriptions. It features 24 animals, and a full page (very large text) description of each one. The facts and photos are sure to delight younger readers that will need it read to them by parents, or by beginning readers (1-3rd graders). The length of the text on each page is just the right length in my opinion (not too long or too short) and the photos are of high quality and resolution. There are no violent photos in this book, despite it being about "Ultimate Predators". I've read this book to by 2nd grade son as well as a classroom of middle schoolers and adults. Of the other Speedy Publishing books, this and Top 20 most Dangerous Animals on the Planet are their favorites, most likely due to the great pictures and descriptions (and likable subject matter). One weird thing, that might only be my computers (though I've tried it on Kindle for Mac as well as Kindle Cloud reader and they both gave me this same result) is that I can't get the layout to display two pages side-by-side. It will only go single column which is strange because you'll see that the publisher intended it to be opened like a book so that on one side was the written description and the other side was the photo. I'm projecting this on a 70 inch screen (and a 13 inch screen as well) so it was too bad that I was unable to show both text and photo at the same time. I'm not sure if results will be different on a tablet. I received this book for free or at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Lots of Pictures of Lots of Animals
As an elementary school teacher, I am always looking for interesting books for my students. With more students gaining access to tablets, digital books have come into vogue. For younger students, picture books are really helpful at capturing their interest and getting them excited about new things. Speedy Publishing has a pretty good selection of eBooks that have great pictures and easy to read words. The quality is nothing amazing, as most of the pictures are stock photos from pay-per-use galleries, but they still provide a fun visual to accompany the words. Depending on how many books from this manufacturer you have on hand, you may start to see some repetitive images and narrative. This is not all bad, especially for classroom use, but if you were looking for something more original, then you might be disappointed. If possible, I would also encourage you to try to find a physical copy of the book. For children, the digital format is not a big deal, but as an adult, you can see that pages are ordered and arranged in a way that is intended for traditional print. This is especially noticeable with pictures that are designed for two-page spreads. This can be said about most of the eBooks by this publisher, so consider that as you accumulate these bargain publications. Overall, I think the book is satisfactory. I got cool pictures of what I wanted to see with some useful factoids about what I was looking at. I got this book for free, so I definitely got what I paid for. Even at 99 cents, for something that is not a game to give to your child or a student, it is worth it. Topic: Animals Includes: Cheetahs Black Mamba Piranhas Grizzly Bear Anaconda Lions Orcas Salt Water Crocodile Hippopotamus Tigers Komodo Dragons Wolves Leopards Diamondback Rattle Snake Black Panthers Black Caiman Bull Sharks Praying Mantis Viper Great White Sharks Eagle Owls Goliath Bird-Eater Spider Polar Bears

As a school teacher I can only use it as an example of what not to do. Overly technical sentences written in a casual manner, making assumptions on knowledge. No structure or thought
