Remove the stays before washing .You can hand wash the liner in warm water using mild soap, rinse thoroughly. if you don't rinse the liner thoroughly, residual from the soap may cause irritation.

Is this the best Knee Braces brand? quality guaranteed?

To determine if it is the best brand someone would need to search online for reviews. What I do know is that this one seems quite well made. It stays in place and keeps my knee joint immobilized. I am 6'2" and weight 255 lbs and the 18" model is more than adequate.

How can I obtain instructions for using the 61018 3-panel knee immobilizer, 18"?

The open area goes on the bend of the knee, and the steel stabilizers go along each side of the knee. Very easy, and good stability.
